Will pick up on Saturday and should be on from 8pm onwards.

Thank the lord no online (especially ranked) achievements. That really spoilt CoD3's achievements as their ranked set up was (still is) a nightmare.

I trust IW will make the achievements as challenging as 2. A friend pvtchat me yesterday almost in tears over trying to do Cod2 on the hardest setting. He was trying to reach the next checkpoint after the 'the guns arent here' bit....oooof remember that bit all too well!

It'll be here tomorrow if it's from shopto, or at least it should be.

When are they going to release a game that can be played online by Xbox360, PS3 and PC users? Surely it's not that much of a stretch? Shadowrun managed PC v 360 after all.

You've got a 360 haven't you? I still haven't heard your lovely voice yet.

I don't get much chance to get on Live lately now that I have two jobs (one full time and one part time). Oh yes, I'm quite the worker. But do you know what? I'm going to make a pledge right here, right now to get on a game of CoD4 with you fine people. In fact, I think I've only ever played with forumites once over a year ago on GRAW when I first got my Xbox. Shamefull I know but I aim to put that right.

It's a very big stretch, the way PS3 and 360 online works means it's pretty much impossible. However 360 and PC is do-able and I think they have done it/are doing it with some games. But to be honest I'd rather it was just PC vs PC, 360 vs 360 etc, I don't want all these cross overs, it's just more ways for people to cheat and more ways to cause lag.

Won't have the full game until later today, but if the Beta is anything to go off it will be great.

However it should be retitled to COD 4 aka Would be The Greatest Online Game Ever in The History of Gaming if it Weren't For Team Fortress 2!!!

Had a crack at the single player for half hour or so last night (managed 100 achievement points in the same time, the game is a complete whore!), despite the change of scenery it's very much business as usual really. Visuals are smoother than a baby's behind and stunning at times (loved the first use of night vision), but also rather plain looking occasionally. Haven't tried the multiplayer yet but it's surely a given going off the BETA, albeit with stacks of maps and extra game modes etc.

That's it really, not exactly the second coming but solid stuff all round.

When did you order?

I've given up with them. Seen on other forums people pre-ordering with Shopto and them not even shipped them out yet.

Where did it all go wrong?

The "opening level" is just immense. Classic Call Of Duty really.

Shopto have been okay for me.  I ordered mine Tuesday and got it Thursday and before that was Pro Evo which I recieved on release day.

Checking out the forums though there seems some unhappy people on there, although maybe its the Royal Mails fault rather than theirs.

As for the game, well its everything I expected and more.  Visuals & sound are amazing with the gameplay and difficulty just right.

Cant wait to play this bad boy online!

I don't doubt they are capable of getting it day(s) early, but it just seems a lottery with them these days. I've already mentioned on here before they put my pre-order price of pro evo up to 36.99 from 29.99 without any notification and they hadn't even sent it out on the day of release. I'd fortunately got mine from GAME the day before.

I think they're just a victim of their own success.

Going off his other thread I'm guessing it was either earlier today or yesterday, so I don't think he's been hard done by this time.

I went to buy my copy today and found out it was released yesterday, slightly annoyed by that but I was busy playing Orange Box and Mario Galaxy anyway.
