I have to agree with pilky07 on this one. It's the biggest case of 'rtyty' I've seen in a good long while, I'm sure you'd all agree.

it must happen if only New Line would just be the bigger person and say ok have your dvd money we don't care we know youll make it back for us and while we are it heres sam Raimi to help give something diffrent for the movie .please new line enough is enough hurry up and make the hobbit before my great feelings of watching the rings are gone

They gotta shit this fucker out pre-strike or they'll never be able to get a new pair of leather pants. Who's available?

Fuck Jackson, Holm and McKellen they can all ride it. Get in Bruckheimer the guy who directed Avril Lavignes Girlfriend video, Chris Tucker as Bilbo, Vin Diesel as Gandalf and Norah Jones as Gollum. November shoot in Benidrom, change the ring to Quail eggs and get the bastard released in time for the Oscars. Change the title to Charlie Wilsons Hobbit with Iraq undertones and an accompanying soundtrack by James Blunt....

be patient it will all fall into place. lets not forget we still have the greatest trilogy of films ever made to savour over. We had to wait 16 years for a new star wars and its only been 4 years since rings.

I was really thrilled when i heard that The Hobbit is gonna be done, so you can imagine how disappointed i was when the fighting began....But i'm gonna be patient cause look at the Lord of the Rings, they took 7 years in the making and WHAT A RESULT!
So i'm not quitting my hopes yet....I know its really hard that jackson will be the one directing,(personally he's the best for it) if we want to see results like LOTR, but there are alot of fantastic directors out there that can really make it....I'm sure one of them will make us Tolkien fans Proud..

Too bad the earlier Tolkien stuff probably cant translate to movies as well as the Hobbit and LOTR will / do.

SO making two hobbit films increasing the amount of middle earth movies beyond what most people could have hoped for :)
