Spoilers for 5x03, Chuck versus the Frosted Tips

Real return to form this week.

Interesting to see that Decker, and not Beckman, was responsible for sending the Intersect to Chuck. That feud will hopefully start to heat up in the next couple of weeks. And with the CIA going after Morgan, Chuck will need to be at his best to save his friend.

The Casey/Verbanski 'fight' was well done, and the Buy More subplot wasn't annoying in the slighest. Captain Awesome was hilarious as always.

My only issue this week was with how easily Morgan was saved - I thought they could maybe have got another episode or two out of Morgan going to the dark side. But it's probably for the best. Now the focus can return squarely to the main character and the threat of the CIA.

Next week looks superb.

Great episode, so much going on but very much Casey's. His takedown of "The Viper" and her crew was awesome. His spoilerising of Star Wars was hilarious as was his recommendation to watch Phantom Menace first, and the reversal of this with the Raiders trilogy were great. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Was also nice to see Lester taken down. He's aways been an annoying little prick but his actions in this one were utterly psychotic. They'll fid some way to get him off though.

Spoilers for the series finale

It's all over.

I loved this show. We should never have got last night's finale. It's incredible that Chuck ever made it beyond two seasons, and yet here we are - five season, 91 episodes. The little show that could.

It was an action comedy, a show about spies. But it wasn't really. At its heart, this fantastic show was about two people - Chuck Bartowski and Sarah Walker.

So it made perfect sense to put their relationship on the line in the final episode. It's what the viewers are most invested in, so to put that in jeopardy is bound to result in plenty of drama.

I thought I knew how the show was going to end - Sarah gets her memories back, they go to their new house and she tells Chuck that she's pregnant. I was wrong.

What we got was the start of that process. I've seen complaints that the writers have ruined everything by wiping Sarah's mind. But it's clear to me that our Sarah is back. She couldn't bring herself to kill Chuck. She started remembering little things - working at the Wienerlicious, the porn virus, the romantic writing on the wall. And, in the final scene - on the very beach where the pilot ended - she asks Chuck to tell her their story. At the end, she asks him to kiss her. She's back. She may not have all her memories at this point, but they're on their way. No way do the writers wipe them for good. Most importantly, Chuck and Sarah are back where they belong, with each other. The house, the baby - we know that's coming. What we get to see is Sarah fall in love with Chuck again, and that was fantastic.

There's been so many finales to Chuck that they had to do something different here. They could have gone the route of having everyone round the dinner table, but they've done it before. So they chose to make things more final. Everyone gets a happy ending. Casey goes to pursue Gertrude, who was a fine addition this season. Morgan and Alex move in together. Jeffster, after one epic final performance, leave to become stars. Big Mike gets to eat Subway's all day long. Ellie and Awesome are leaving for Chicago, which was a move that confused me - I don't really see what it adds to the story other than making it clear that this is the definite end.

Lots of great callbacks to years gone by - Bryce, Chuck's dad (Ellie's brilliant 'Aces, Charles'), The Ring, Fulcrum, Wienerlicious. And then the flashbacks to Chuck and Sarah's romance, which I'm sure left most of us misty-eyed.

On the downside, Quinn was a totally disposable villain. I'd have gathered they saved Shaw for the finale instead of using him midseason. Still, his episode was one of Season 5's standouts.

I felt that they maybe needed some extra time to wrap things up. I wanted a final Chuck and Morgan scene. I wanted a bit more Casey. I wanted to see Sarah and Chuck in their dream home, even though I know they'll be there eventually.

But after living on borrowed time for three seasons, that's just greedy. We got more than we deserved. And it's the right time to bow out.

I want to thank everyone involved in the show - the writers, the crew, the actors - for one of my favourite ever TV shows. Few shows can make you feel joy, but Chuck is one of the rare gems. It was special.

Nice wrtieup there Doc.

I really enjoyed the finale episodes which was a relief as overall I found this final season a little bit lacklustre. I really liked that the final scene went out on a hopeful note. Maybe Morgan's right and it is a "magic kiss" but even if he's not we know they're going to be okay.

Sad to see it go but happy it got to last as long as it did.

Just got round to watching the finale, have to agree with most of what you said Barefoot, really going to miss the show. I felt like Ellie and Awesome moving came a bit out of the blue and didn't really seem to make sense, what did it really add? I think also at the end the "magic kiss" did work to an extent, like you said with Sarah getting the larger part of her memories back and her and Chuck eventually moving into their dream house. It was also fun seeing Mark whathisface from LOST and Supernatural as a former Fulcrum agent, particularly enjoyed him dissing The Ring. Though did anyone feel like this season felt split in two?
