I hate archers, The Archers, and Jeffrey Archer, you're all deceitful cowards. I just realised that only applies to archers and Jeffrey Archer, not The Archers who are, to be fair, a mixed bag.

I also used to be called donnie-darko, but now I'm not.

Nice one Oddy. Good to see this make a return.

Name: Frankie (known in some circles as DJ Frankie Pigeon)
Favourite bands/artists:  (In no particular order at all) DJ Yoda, David Holmes, DJ Format, Public Enemy, MC Paul Barman, Quasimoto, Ugly Duckling, Morrissey, The Smiths, The Cure, George Formby, Buzzcocks, Nina Simone, Meco, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Air, Jean Jacques Perrey, James Brown, Sly & The Family Stone, Gorillaz, Ian Brown, Daft Punk, Louis Prima, Ennio Morricone, Lemon Jelly, & all the mixers at, especially DJ Riko, Mwude, Tufty, Hoods & Umboto. Plus, thousands and thousands of others.

Favourite songs:  Bloody hell. I'll have to come back to this one when i have a fortnight off work or something. But, I've been listening to Simon & His Amazing Dancing Bear by The Alan Price Set today, so that's probably my favourite song at this moment in time. Mah-na-mah-na is a constant classic too.
Favourite albums: Again, too many to mention. here's a few I've been listeng to a lot lately though. You Are The Quarry - Morrissey, Exotic Moog - Martin Denny, Lost Horizons - Lemon Jelly, Music for the Mature B-Boy - DJ Format, Singles - Buzzcocks, The In Sound From Way Out - Perrey & Kingsley, So Sweet So Sensual - Ennio Morricone.
Favourite Soundtrack Albums: I have loads of soundtracks, my favourites probably are Out Of Sight - David Holmes, Shaun Of The Dead, Pulp Fiction, Dawn Of the Dead, Funny Bones, High Fidelity, Midnight Cowboy, Get Carter, Mr Rossi - Franco Godi & my absolute fave which is actually a japanese video game soundtrack, Katamari Damacy.

Favourite era: Anything from 20's big bands to noughties Hip-Hop & bootleggin'.

Favourite Genre: I genuinely am open to anything at all, but am particularly fond of Loungecore, Moog music, vinyl sharity, comedy records, swing, 80's indie, punk, hip-hop, telly themes & 70's funk.
Oh, and if they're all mixed together, even better.

Least Favourite Genre: I'm actually not that fussy, but saying that, don't have much time for boy bands and most manufactured charty stuff.

First album purchased: Adam & The Ants - Prince Charming (1981).

Last album purchased: ........ If actually purchased, Shaun Of the Dead soundtrack. Last album D/loaded was I Am A Bird now - Antony & The Jonsons.
Next album purchase: ........ I am planning to "purchase" The Best Of The Kinks" this very evening.

First singles purchased: John Wayne Is Big Leggy by Haysi Fantayzee & I  Eat Cannibals by Toto Coello

Last single purchased: Bloody hell, I can't remember that far back. I do seem to remember buying Yelllow by Coldplay for my wife though. It's all d/loaded these days I'm afraid.

Last music DVD purchased: Like CC, I  rarely buy music dvds so actually had to look in my cupboard to see if I owned any. I have 2. One is Elvis:That's The way It Is (which is bloody brilliant), the other actually belongs to my son, Michael Jackson's HIStory.  I have been known to watch that actually.
Favourite album of the year: Thunder, Lightning, Strike - the Go! Team.

Specialist subject: Cheese

Inexplicable Band/Artist In Your Collection: Eminem.

I'm attracted to the prospect of sounding 20 years younger than I am and having to list my favourite band! Can we start a thread to name our best friends aswell?
Name: Tyn

Favourite bands/artists: Pixies, New Fast Automatic Daffodils, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Pavement, Stone Roses, The Smiths, The Clash, Wedding Present, Velvet Underground, Blur, Jurassic 5, Futureheads, The Streets, Nirvana, Radiohead, Beck, Bright Eyes, Jeff Buckley, Sex Pistols, The Whitlams, Regurgitator, The Jam, The Flaming Lips, Preston School of Industry, Tricky, Pop Will Eat Itself, Beta Band...... oh I could go on and on (and, sadly, do....)

Favourite songs: New FADs "Partial"; Pixies " Debaser"; The Whitlams "No Aphrodisiac"; The Beatles "A Day in the Life"; Tricky "Black Steel"; The Cure "10-15 on a Saturday Night"; The Kinks "Lola"; Lou Reed "Perfect Day"; Stone Roses "I am the Resurrection"; Joy Division "Love Will Tear Us Apart"; Undertones "Teenage Kicks"; Nirvana "Aneurysm"; Kaiser Chiefs "I predict a riot"....

Favourite Soundtrack Albums: Too much of a music snob to admit to owning any. I pretend I don't have any greatest hits LPs either, but it's a lie ( I even bought Duran Duran's Greatest recently on the faux pretence that it was for my wife....)

Favourite era: The early 90s were my time, bless 'em.

Favourite Genre: My iPod says "Alternative & Punk"

First singles purchased: Centerfold - J Geils Band

Last single purchased: Can't remember

Last music DVD purchased:  I have a Pavement DVD which is good

Favourite album of the year: Franz Ferdinand

Specialist subject:

Inexplicable Band/Artist In Your Collection: I have a smattering of ambient CDs from my student days that are unlistenable. I've also got a copy of Metal Machine Music by Lou Reed which is the single most pretentious thing i own, and therefore I'm quite proud of it.
