Saw Kelly Clarkson over the weekend after finding bargain tickets on ebay (less than face value)
She was surprisingly good and Jamie Scott opened up and he was fucking fantastic

Went to see Be your own pet last night. As expected they were good fun on stage and good fun to listen to, so well worth going. Crowd were very very young though, and mainly female, I have never felt more out of place at a gig ever I think

It's near Brackley in Buckinghamshire, over the May bank holiday weekend (24th & 25th May).
Here's the link to the full line up - http://summersoundsystem.gatecrasher.com/Lineup/

I saw Massive Attack a couple of years ago near Cannes in France. Amazing!

Wow. The list just goes on and on, I can fully understand your excitement!! I'd go for the D&B Arena and Metropolis alone! But there's so much more. (and The Erection Section sounds very intriguing indeed.. )
Shame I'll be in Spain that week.. although... haven't finalized the booking yet...

Went to see The Gutter Twins tonight... awesome is the word. Lanegan's voice is just superb and as someone said in another thread, the band were tight, Dulli was also very very good to watch. In all a very good night

I'm tempted by this but I've already got tickets for Gatecrasher Summer Sound System and the Sanctuary Festival, so I'm not sure I can afford this as well.

Saw Portishead last night, they were awesome.

I was less impressed by A Hawk And A Hacksaw supporting them, 45 minutes of mostly instrumental Balkan style music played on trumpet, accordion and violins isn't really my thing - although I must admit its the first time I've seen anyone play the accordion at the same time as drums.

Portishead were superb (aprt from technical difficulties 3 songs in, which were soon sorted though). In particular I thought Wandering Star, Machine Gun and We Carry On stood out, and the version of Cowboys was so immense it was practically Old Testament
