I'm seeing The Bluetones in Brighton this Wednesday.

I haven't listened to a new album of theirs in yonks, but they always put on a really good show.

Really excited now

Same.

I've already seen Pulp, Weezer, Cast, Eels, Arctic Monkeys, The Stranglers, Arcade Fire and Iron Maiden this year but this one may be the best of the lot.

Hair metal

Also going to see The Bluetones this weekend (it's their farewell tour ) and Ash doing Free All Angels live in October.

Hopefully going to see St Vincent in Glasgow - it's two months away but fingers crossed I won't be otherwise engaged by then.

They're wonderful live. Just superb. I may get tickets myself.

I've recently returned from End Of The Ross Festival in Salisbury. It was the most fun, relaxing, beautiful experience I've ever had at a festival and I highly doubt I will ever go to Reading or Leeds again after seeing just how brilliant a festival can be. Highlights were Okkervil River, Laura Marling, Beirut, Wild Beasts, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Willy Mason, Joanna Newsom plus many others.

I've currently got WU LYF lined up next month, followed by Bon Iver in November and Fleet Foxes in December.

Booked tickets yesterday for Incubus, November 3rd at the Wolverhampton Civic. I've been waiting to see them for years now, am sooo excited. November can't come quick enough!

Further to this, I've now also got tickets to see Lacuna Coil at the HMV Institute on the 5th November. November is fast turning into 'gig' month for me!

I really enjoyed it. I'd liked them since I was a bairn but had never seen them live, so this was my last chance. Unpainted Arizona as an opener was brilliant, and the chant-along to the end of If... was great, especially since the crowd carried on by themselves after the band went off-stage, prompting the guys to come back on in nightgowns for another song.

Ironically, I forgot all about that gig!   Good choice of albums from all 3 bands too, 1977, Promenade and The Undertones debut.

Just bought tickets for Ocean Colour Scene's Moseley Shoals gig at the Brixton Academy on 8th December.

And 2 days before that I'm going to see Frisky and Mannish in Leicester, FOC I think, courtesy of my best friend (also accompanying me to the above gig) being their sound guy, tour bus driver, etc.

Saw Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler at Nottingham Captial FM Arena yesterday. Mark Knopfler was on top form, but Bob Dylan was struggling on the organ and singing, but he was ace on the harmonica.

I didn't even realise that I liked New Found Glory until I saw them at Leeds Festival. Although all bands were knocked down a peg or two by Deftones.

I haven't got any gig plans at all. I'm tempted to go to Damnation Festival next month. The last gig I went to (not including Leeds Festival) was Godspeed You! Black Emporer in Leeds a couple of months back.

Aye, they were fantastic. Hard to pick a highlight but the baggy-tastic Dive In and a quite euphoria-inducing Moving Further Away took some beating.
Think I'm gonna spoil myself and see them in Newcastle on tuesday too.
