I just skipped as soon as I saw Episode 10 mentioned. After all, as has bene mentioned, this is called Californication on Five. (Although, the whole thread title is just called 'Californication - David Duchovny', so maybe BobaJango could amend that?)

Second ep - nice to see Dawn from The Office is still involved in choice comedy roles.

I'll rename the thread if people really want me to.
I myself am only on the second ep so i might have to speed up!

They should use the mobile phone scene from episode 1 as an advert in cinemas.

Brilliant! I think we've all wanted to do that at one time or another.

Watched ep 2 today, loved it! The bit with and that lady (who was in few ep's of VM) having sex and then throwing up was hilarious!

Saw this episode too. It's a mad program though I hope it develops better as the seasons roll on

shame about ratings. got this from mediaguardian.com-

"Later in the evening, Five's US import Californication lost a fifth of its viewers on its second outing, attracting just 800,000 viewers and a 4% share at 10pm.
The drama, in which former X Files star David Duchovny plays a middle-aged lothario and novelist who is lured to Hollywood, lost 200,000 viewers and two share points compared with its debut on Thursday last week.
There was also disappointing news for Five straight afterwards between 10.40pm and 11.10pm when the second episode of new US sitcom 30 Rock brought in 500,000 viewers at a 4% share.
This was also down 200,000 viewers - and two share points - on the previous week's debut for the show, which is centred on a US TV network sketch show and stars Alec Baldwin and Saturday Night Live's Tina Fey.
Californication was up against Channel 4's investigation drama Without a Trace, which increased its audience by 200,000 viewers and one share point on the previous week, pulling in 1.5 million and 9% across the 10pm hour."

Last nights episode was good, series is improving (although I liked the first 2 episodes anyway), pre-credit sequence was good..nice freeze frame on the punch.
Moving away from the nudity a little but no less sexual, especially with THAT secretary.
Nice ending, hopefully showing that Hank is moving forward in a new direction.

So far, I'm loving this - loved the pre-credit sequence. Great script, and great acting.

I love this show because it doesn't hold back on any of the language and nudity and this is the best thing that david duchony will do well next to the x-files of course. The character he plays is just great he is cocky in a funny way and has great one liners and is not afraid to see what's on his mind that most of us have trouble saying. I'm glad a second season has been approved.

A great episode on Thursday. I love the relationship between Hank and Karen. Despite the fact she often disapproves of him it's refreshing to see that she isn't a bitter, stereotypical ex whose only function is to moan and complain.

I love the sly little duck Hank gives as that woman went to throw the drink over him!

The lasted episode felt like a real jump up in quality, the writing just seemed alot better and towned down on the sex which I'm glad about.

I guess if they just altered the title to "fornication" then it would still be pretty relevant!

Anybody still watching, was the latest one the one with flashbacks? That was great, felt like it had real heart.

This show is getting better in my opinion - like someone said above, now they have got all the sex stuff out the way and have started concentrating more on the characters it has gone from strengh to strengh..

I do wonder where the whole Hank and Karen, will they won't they story is going to go.  At the moment I still find it very interesting, but I imagine if it just continues like it has been into the second season it might get a bit annoying.

The highlight of this show for me is actually Hanks agent, his scenes with his secretary and wife are some of the funniest things on TV at the moment.

Loving this show, just keeps getting better and better......

I still can't believe the secretary is played by the ex-missus Macauly Culkin.
