A short film I recently completed has just been shortlisted into the next Cardiff Mini Film Festival. If anyone fancies a look you can watch the film here (Clicky - Password is littlejohn) but I should warn you that due to the audio in two scenes it's probably not suitable viewing for the workplace. Hope you all enjoy it!

Hey guys and gals,
Looking for a bit of help here. I'm shooting a horror short next week and I'm struggling to think of a way to pull off a particular shot. Basically, it's a close up of an actor and bloody is spraying up all over his screaming face as he screams. basically this shot here. Clicky Now I got loads of fake blood but I can't figure out a way to get it to spray up all over his face like that. Someone suggested a spray bottle but that will just give short bursts rather then the continous spray as if they're cutting through something. Any suggestions?

Compressed air cannon or something I would think.

Like those ones you get when painting miniature models?

Get a bike. Turn it upside down. Start spinning the rear wheel. Pour fake blood onto it. Watch fake blood spray everywhere.

Well here it is, guys, the finished film. Clicky This was actually an entry into Movie Mogul's Shortcuts to Hell competition, where you had to make a horror short while abiding to a set of restrictions all relating to the number 6. Anyone else on here enter? Oh and for those interested, I actually got the shot I was asking for advice on by filing a hand pump-pressurised garden sprayer (�3 from the local supermarket).

Pretty good

Although it maybe could have done with some more sound effects to really get the imagination going. Very well lit too.

That was pretty cool! Although, I'd actually make the opposite criticism of that as you did mine. To me the dismemberment sound effects sounded obviously fake and not well mixed with the rest of the audio. Kinda took me out of it a bit. Minor complaint though. All in all, great stuff.
