If that's correct then it gets released on the same day as Abercrombie's Red Country. I'll have to book a couple of days off work if both are indeed released on the same day.

I first heard of TLOLL through this here thread and have been desperate for TROT since I finished RSURS. But I've been following Scott Lynch on Twitter and he has said that nothing is confirmed til you hear it from him or directly from his publisher. I really hope this is true but I just wish it was based on something a bit more concrete than an Amazon date.

I truly hope you're right Hobbsy but there's nothing on his twitter feed, nothing on the publisher's website and nothing on Waterstones

Amazon are now saying 13th July 2013.

I think the dates are quite random as there hasn't been anything from Gollancz or Lynch's blog.

This website has got The Republic Of Thieves down as 21 March 2013

http://www.orionbooks.co.uk/Books/detail.page?isbn=9780575099586

That's the first time I've seen that date and The Orion Publishing Group owns Gollancz.

I for one am very, very excited about this.

Oh and just noticed it has a page count! 488 pages that must mean it is in their hands and complete if they know how many pages it's got mustn't it. It must mean that, please let it mean that.

God I hope that's correct. I loved the first two books with The Lies of Locke Lamora being the best book I read last year.

I know, I've read all the extracts that you can find online, a prologue and the first chapter I think and it's brilliant just as good as the others based on what I've seen.

I've heard nothing but good things about The Lies of Locke Lamora and hence bought it.
