I thought this week's episode was the best they've done in ages. I really liked Garcia giving Morgan a talking to and I loved Emily and JJ's interrogation of the suspect. He was so freaky that it took me ages to realise what programme I knew him from!

What show was he in before?

It was an excellent episode this week. I never actually though they'd g back to that story. I'm glad they did. Last week we saw Hotch kick ass and this week it was Morgan. Here's hoping for a Reid fight next week

It would actually give the poor sod something to do

Yeah, that was fabulous. I may have watched that scene over again a few times.

When they popped up with the guns at the end and said, "hi", in a really girly way. I lolled.

That was funny. It was one of the best episodes we've had in a while. That's not to say this season has been bad, it has been better than the mess that was season six.

Also, I know Cindy wasn't a child, but anything that has someone reunited with a parent after so long, that gets me every time.

I know y'all watch Bones as well, and that one where the girl in the adoption system was reunited with her birth parents, fuck me, that got me big time. This CM ep ending was like that, when she finally hugged her mother.

I'm currently re-wacthing season 2 and while it has some excellent episodes (P911, Empty Planet, the Dawson 2-parter) and moments (Prentiss!), I don't think I'll watch the entire season. It's one I remember most for some reason (maybe it was all the times it was repeated on Sky) so I think I'll skip to season 3. While I really like Gideon, Joe Mantegna is awesome as Rossi from season 3 onwards and it is that season I don't have a great memory of

I think this has been going downhill since Reed (by far & away the most interesting character) has been made a bit part character in the programme.

Yeah, I made a jokey reference to that above. Reid has had feck all to do for ages, he hasn't really had the chance to be super smart lately either. Not to the same extent as he was in earlier seasons. Maybe the writers have just forgotten how to write for the poor bugger.

I've never really understood the adoration for Reid. I like him, but I felt there was too much time spent on Reid-centric episodes and storylines in previous seasons. I would like them to follow through on story threads they start though, like his headaches from last season.

Why have I only just found this thread? I'm a bit behind on the current season but I love this show. Alot of sub plots never come to anything with the cast, Reid and J.J went on a date in season 1 and then was never ever mentioned again.

And I don't think they've even mentioned Gideon since season 3.....

They do tend to drop stories but I think the Spencer/JJ date was just them testing the water which is allowed in season one. If they had done it now and had no mention of it for 7 years it would be annoying. Forgetting his drug habit and his headaches is a bit shite, however.

I agree that the date was a test the waters thing, then they changed it to more of a strong friendship. JJ is the only person who calls him "Spence". Reid's drug habit was mentioned after it had happened he gets called out of a support group meeting and it's acknowledged. I must confess I haven't seen alot of the present season so can't comment on the headaches.

There is a lot I can't remember which is why I am currently re-watching the whole series. That is also why I remembered the Reid/JJ date because I saw it a few days ago

And, yeah, I think it's sweet that she is the only one who calls him Spence. I like small character beats like that

EDIT: Oh, shit, it's the Garcia two-parter of early season three. Not sure I can watch that again

I too love that she alone calls him Spence.

Is the two parter with Garcia where her date ends badly? (Vague in case people aren't caught up.)

Yeah, it's horrible. Given all the violence that happens in the series, I actually find that difficult to watch. We should be ok for spoilers, though, this is a season 7 thread :)

One of the harshest for me was the guy with learning difficulties who was basically this sadistic cunt who killed people with acid, or something. That was just horrible.

Yeah, that was quite recent, wasn't it? It is quite harsh sometimes, no wonder Mandy Patinkin left

I love Garcia, I hate to see her get hurt but then I just look at JJ and I think- 'she's so pretty' and all is good

Who kidnaps and tortures his niece, because his obsessed with his Sister in Law! That one was horrific. I remember discussing that one on Twitter with you Homer as I watched it.

The one that I know I could never ever watch again is the one with the paedophile auctioning off the little boy and they have to locate him, before he is sold again. I watched it through my fingers then went and sat by Little HQ's bed for about 2 hours.

I watched that one recently. It's a good episode but quite harrowing I was tearing up at the last scene.

The Criminal Minds game looks shit- CLICK

Sweet Jesus that looks awful.

I'd investigate to see how far off message you can go, and just go and play with as JJ.

Oh, JJ.....(sighs)

Besides the episode Penelope that I am currently watching there aren't many episodes I don't think I 'can't' watch. Maybe because I can't really remember all of them. I skipped the last half of season 2 on my re-watch because I couldn't be arsed with the Frank episodes again and I wanted to skip to the 'no Gideon/Rossi appears' eps as those ones I had forgotten.....then what I am currently watching happened.....

And next is the one with Malcolm in the Middle. I think I'll skip that. The rest of s3 is a blur to me, though.

EDIT: Nicholas Brendon's first episode!!!!!!!

The whole thing is a blur to me. I have no intention of revisiting. It's great as a crime of the week type show, but I can't imagine there's much rewatch value to it, tbh. Unlike these season-as-one-story shows, I'd imagine marathonning CM would be a) very repetitive and b) fucking depressing.

I'm doing ok with it so far. If it gets depressing, I'll switch it off. The thing is, my memory is relly bad these days I honestly don't remember a lot of it. Apart from the 100th episode when Hotch loses someone close to him. That episode aside, season 5 is a blur, I remember nothing from it.
