anyone go see Gun Crazy or Bronson in the watershed on tuesday?
if so, i was there!

hadn't been in cinema 2 before, but my god it's tiny! and gun crazy is the first film i've seen that they narrow the curtains after the adverts instead of opening them up more

will definately be going again in half term - Let The Right One In!

Which showing? I was at the Watershed for an after-work drink (6.30) and as I left at, ooh, 7.30-8.00, there was a crush of people all going in to see Gun Crazy. That could have been you!

Re the other suggestions, cheers guys! I'm definitely going to check out @Bristol. It's barely 5 minutes from where I live, so I'm thinking 'season ticket' - somewhere to take the kids if it's raining! Mind you, the Watershed is barely 5 minutes from where I live too...

Incidentally I took a stroll up Park Street today (stroll... hah, hike is more like it) and just as it was about to level out what do I spy but a World Cinema DVD shop! I was technically in work mode, as I was going to get keys cut, but I had to stop and window shop for a minute. When I get the chance (and the change) I'm so going in there!

What's the Harbour Festival? Film? Music? Food? All of the above?

nah that was for The Age of Stupid cos they had someone giving a talk, and about half of Greenpeace by the looks of it... you would have been walking out at the same time as me though as Gun Crazy had just finished and i had a half hour before Bronson.

maybe next time it will be an even closer almost meet :P

Aye, the film was great! The 'goodie bag' was a misnomer - there was no bag. It was one of those Mineral Water bottles and the book by Lindqvist on each seat. Which was pretty cool, really. Especially as the screening wasn't at capacity, so they gathered all the bottles and books and were basically forcing them on people - I walked out with two books, 4 bottles (having consumed one during the film as well) and "Little White Lies" cos I was one of the first 25 to book in advance. All in all, quite a profitable evening!

I'm heading down there again tomorrow afternoon for Jekyll and Hyde. Should be ace.

i already had LWLies anyway (good issue though) so didnt miss out too much... i was worried you'd get like some cool posters and stuff like that. i do want to read the book though, and hell to buy that from the shops would probably cost more than the ticket so think you came out pretty good.

Shameful isn't it?

If I'd had a bag of my own with me, it would have been full of books, and I'd've gladly divvied them out.
