With badassmofo reminding me that The Watershed is showing GOLDFINGER on the 31st, I was thinking that it could be the perfect time for a Bristolian forumite meet up. Some drinks, food and classic Bond.

Who'd be up for it?

That's a Tuesday, definitely no can do on a school night I'm afraid .  A weekend I may have been able to combine it with visiting family.

Sounds cool tho, there's loads of Bristol based people in here, surprised you don't pack the place out...

Sounds like an interesting proposal Timon, so count me in. Though a Bond film doesn't excite me that much (Killing of a Chinese Bookie or Daratt would however!).

No I didn't go. I was doing a mixture of writing, cinema and keeping out of the rain.

Ray Harryhausen's At The Watershed Tonight!!!!!!!

Doing a book signed at 5.30pm and then presenting a showing of Jason And The Argonauts.

Tempted to not go to training tonight and go along and get him to sign my Argonauts DVD. The legend won't be around much longer.

Damn, wish I lived in Bristol (not a phrase you get to hear often!)

You absolutely have to go Ti - as you say, the man is a god of the silver screen and, unlike his legacy, won't be around much longer.  And we expect pics in This Is Me too!

AAAAARGH fucking tell me about it. ONE SODDING WEEK EARLIER and I would have been there. I move on fucking Monday! I would have loved to go see the great Harryhausen so, yeah, definitely go to that Ti! I am so looking forward to the choice films it appears The Watershed show on a regular basis.

...

Started replying about Goldfinger till I realised that most of the posts in this thread were from nigh on two years ago...
