Inspire by the Thomas Harris thread here's the Robert Harris thread. I'll leave someone else to pick up the Rolf one.

Personally I think Robert Harris's output has been slightly downhill, stil readable (I'm not talking a Keith Chegwin downard trajectory) but each succesive novel since Fatherland was not quite as good. Pompeii really lacked the tension and fear that I'd hoped would come with the eruption.

Am I being too harsh, perhaps Enigma and Archangel are slightly on a par below Fatherland?
