Does anybody know when this game is due to hit the shelves? I remember seeing a trailer for it last year and it looked quite interesting.

This is probably the game I'm most looking forward to in the upcoming releases.

It does indeed look great, and I'm not just talking about the graphics. I'd say my most anticipated titles list would look something like this...

1. GTA IV
2. Haze
3. Resident Evil 5
4. Banjo Kazooie 3
5. Alan Wake

I just checked this out for the first time, looking at some information and this game looks incredible. It kinda reminds me of a next gen Broken Sword without all the mystical stuff.

It's out before the end of the year isn't it? - It's just not looking very good.

Plus the two before it were two of the most overrated games ever to be released.

One of the reasons I'm loking forward to Alan Wake is that it doesn't have 2 or 3  in the title.

When you compare the two theres no choice for me. One is part of an OK franchise the other looks like offering something new and interesting.

Ive always been with SHP on this. Halo 1 and 2 were just a bit boring and there was always something better on offer. Personally my FPS epic needs will be filled with Half Life orange box.

Definitely with you there on the Orange Box I can't wait for it, especially Portal. Although it will be Haze that fulfills my FPS needs.

Seeing as I missed out on Half Life 2 the first time round, The Orange Box has got me very excited.

What's the dealio with Mass Effect then - I confess, I know very little about it, more by choice than anything else.

Agreed (although I'm looking forward to TF2 not Portal).

And Halo 3 can kiss my arse. THE most over rated franchise ever, with Final Fantasy running a close 2nd.

I see a bandwagon!

*jump*

My top 5:
1) Halo 3
2) Haze
3) Mass Effect
4) Bioshock
5) Alan Wake

I'm also quite looking forward to Burnout Paradise. It's got a free roaming feature similar to Test Drive (which I adored) and coupled with the fun of previous Burnout's should be fantastic fun both online and offline. But why no GTA IV I hear you cry? Well I loved the first one on the PS1 and the third one on the PS2 but I played them to death and got really bored of them. Vice City was fun but more of the same and San Andreas just didn't interest me in the slightest. I even bought Liberty City on the PSP but traded it in immediately because it was boring. I really doubt that GTA IV will offer anything substantially new over GTA III to hold my interest long. It just completely dissinterests me, where as the top five look like they'll other me something new (I never played Halo 1 or 2, hence it being top).

After playing the multiplayer beta I was convinced. Never really liked it too much before that.

Just the few maps there were good enough for a good night of games so I have high hopes for the full game.

Would it be wrong to burn them in elaborately constructed wicker men?

I want it too. but with that being 70 and the GTA IV special edition being the same price, there can be only one. And thats gotta be GTA IV

Hurrah, I thought I was the only person who thought so. Don't get me wrong, the first two were well put together FPSs, and the Chief's over the top heroics in the second one were entertaining enough but the storylines weren't up to much and all in it can't really touch Half Life for shooty goodness.

As niftily gruesome as the horrible old Flood is/are, they/it can't really hold a candle to a screaming poison headcrab zombie running at you full tilt in Ravenholme when all you've got is a gravity gun and a breezeblock.
