Update: Those crazy folks are still going, they have just started Half Blood Prince. It is 3:50am there, they started at 12pm their time. They have made over $3k so far. Not great but they are going to carry on.

Only slightly? And you call me a lightweight?

They are about to start recording a commentary for Chamber of Secrets. The extended version. So far, they have made $1,252, which is not bad.

And now I'm only slightly hungover!

Wait, there's an extended version of Chamber of Secrets? Did that film need to be any longer? Good heavens...

Yeah, the extended version is 174 minutes whereas the original version is 161 mins.

Will the commentary for Deathly Hallows Part Two just be a load of people snoring, farting and crying?

Ha. I have no doubt they'll make it to the end although crying may still happen

Why don't they show the Laurel and Hardy short films on telly anymore? They were always on at Christmas time..

They used to be on every weekend morning on BBC2, not just Xmas.

Perfect entry to classic comedy for all - sadly missed

I'm old enough to remember BBC1 playing those creaky old serials from the 30's / 40's, like FLASH GORDON / BUCK ROGERS / KING OF THE ROCKETMEN over the Christmas holidays...

Jeez, my grandparents probably watched those serials, can you imagine a 2013 audience of kids watching them?

And... I still love those shows. Check 'em out on Youtube sometimes. Still great.

I know nostalgia isn't what it used to be, but us old un's really did have the best telly back in the day.

Ah, memories. I can trace my love of films in general back to Laurel and Hardy beings shown on Tv back in the 80s.

Oooh, Cbeebies in high-definition; is it wrong that I'm oddly excited?

Although, I really don't need to see Granny Murray's grotesque, gurning visog first thing in the morning in high-def, that's just a bit too much.

Never one to pass up an opportunity of childish passive annoyance, I got someone I truly detest in the secret Santa at work, and the same day noticed some CDs in a mates waste paper bin of a band who shall we say no one wants to be associated with anymore.
Said CDs are now wrapped and nestled under the tree at work. I am thinking of getting popcorn for the group present opening day and am eagerly awaiting the fallout.

I was actually having second thoughts, but after watching this person demoralise and demotivate one of the hard working people in our team, I am gonna really enjoy the 20th. I will update you all on the consequences.

In other non malicious news, the Mrs bought a Christmas TV guide, just had flick through and lo and behold the 1958 version of Dracula is on. Boxing Day. Set your TV recorders for a treat. Lee and Cushing at their finest.

I once bought a cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy a multi coloured clown wig, for a Secret Santa gift years ago. You'll be fine.

Urgh... my brother, an avid football fan, has suggest we "go halves" on getting my dad, who doesn't watch football and occasionally watches MotoGP, Sky Sports for a year. Which puts me in the awkward position of having to ask my brother if it is just because he gets bored when he goes round. Its like, "hey I love watching movies so I got you a fucking great big television, surround sound, 3D etcs...of course you love movies, mum, shut up!"

MotoGP will be on BT Sport. Wouldn't fork out for Sky if I was you.
