So Trevor Bayliss was ripped of by the company he made a deal with for the wind up radio (they slightly altered his design so they didn't need to pay him). What a shame. I remember when he was on television as an example of what successful inventors could achieve and now he is losing his home.

Seems a real shame, I always thought he had patented his invention, although by the sounds of it, a few tweaks here and there and someone was able to profit from a slight altered version. Hmm, yeah right.
That said, he can hardly claim to be living in poverty when he has an 80 grand Jag in his garage.

It looks like some bad ideas following getting ripped off were what really led to bankruptcy.

Oy vey, my emotions are all over the place just now. One minute I'm up.... the next I'm down.

Before I went through my recent health problems I was always very obssessive about my appearance and body etc. Then when I was lying in my hospital bed and when I was waiting for my big results I swore I'd be far more forgiving towards myself and would focus on the things that actually mattered - i.e my health, rather than appearance.

I have been staying true to this as much as possible, but I'm struggling just now because I'm putting on all the weight I lost from when I was ill. It's totally superficial, and obviously weight is something that's within my control, but I'm greedy and it's starting to get to me again.

Even though I'm trying desperately not to.

I think the stress of my Nan's situation has knocked me for six. I seem to be going through extremes of emotion, and I guess I'm still trying to come to terms with everything that's gone on, especially since there's always going to be that fear at the back of my mind anytime I feel slightly off.... 'What if?' kind of thing.

I'm just rambling because it's cathartic to get it off my chest.

I just watched this earlier on this evening.

She doesn't like kids with geographical names, yet one of her kids is called India?

She is a joke.

I got the impression that she wouldn't let her kids play out with kids that have ethic names. But that's a whole different can of worms.

I'm thinking that if you're going to spam a forum you should probably give it a few seconds thought first. For instance, don't spam a British forum with links to watch live streams of the Wimbledon semi finals, which anyone in the UK can access for free online anyway, especially when the matches ended less than 5 minutes after those links were posted.

I really hope that one was a bot

Just wikipedia'd Andrew Flintoff and found out he's exactly 10 years older than me.

For some reason that makes me feel proud.

Why do I insist on replying to morons who are obviously trying to get a reaction?

We don't use the word 'behoove' enough; it behooves us to use 'behoove' more often.

What you get up to on your bed that may be a bad idea. Your eyesight is bad enough as it is.

Also has the customs limit reduced? i have been stung twice when buying from Threadless and both times it was less than the 20 limit it used to be?

It's the standard now the Royal Mail cost is obscenely high - 12 is the minimum cost when just over. Ver' annoying.

Any excuse for snobbishness. I got my classlist the other day for my new school and I've got plenty of names that she wouldn't let her kids play with - a Cieren, a Paisley, a Crysta to name but a few - but I know for a fact that some of them are the 'high-flyers' attainment-wise for their year group. Just because a parent doesn't share your taste in names doesn't mean that they can't be a great parent. What an idiot.

Other than the naming issue, I am also thinking about the fundraiser I'm singing at tomorrow, and wondering why I ever agreed to Practically all the audience are going to be classically trained, and I haven't sung in public in nearly five years. Plus we're doing pop songs to a musical theatre audience

The most recent post showing up on Mammoth Threads is one by Goodfella in The Scottish Thread, and before that it was one by Hoody in the same thread. Yet when I try to click on it chrome blocks it citing malware and I can't actually see the thread anywhere.

What the deuce?

I get the same thing in that thread, I just proceed anyway because I'm dangerous.

But now the thread only seems to show up when I click the Replies tab on the Mammoth Threads main forum page, without the the thread being the most recently updated one

Yeah, I can't get into it either. Scots blocked out of the Scottish thread. Huh.

Why do they start films at 10 p.m. on a Sunday night when they usually finish after midnight?
