The podcast I recorded for Star Trek Into Darkness is available now (my sig). It contains spoilers for the film throughout and please be kind. I'm the Scottish one.

I choose to take everyone's silence as a sign that nobody has seen STID and are waiting until they do......

I need more sleep, I keep misreading things. At first glance I thought Shifty was saying nobody else has an STID (which is not a film ).

I had already typed the full name and couldn't be arsed doing it again considering it was in the quote (and my sig), so I abbreviated.

Just glad to hear you are not suffering yourself from such.

Susanna Reid's wearing a particularly rubbish dress and she still looks like the sexiest woman alive.

Mind, as rubbish as the dress is, I've still spent the last four minutes and 37 seconds imagining doing something to it that can only be described as Clinton-esque.

Just wanted to ask a genuine question of the Dead-Poolers among you.

Does participating ever freak you out? Do you find it morbid or weirdly cathartic? Does it ever bother you? Now I'm not being facetious, I'm just genuinely curious. I've even considered joining in myself, but something just holds me back. Anyone?

It generally doesn't bother me really. I have no emotional attachment to these people so their death is inconsequential to me. There's sometimes a teeny, tiny bit of conflict when I go to put down a celeb I like (Pratchett for example) and I can't bring myself do it, even though it's guaranteed points.

I try to stick with people I don't like, or lack an opinion of.

I used to stick down the people I didn't like as I thought that was the 'joke', but instead it seems people are just listing off a list of old, dying, frail people which does seem a bit less 'fun'...

I did laugh at this comment earlier though:

"I feel awful about Mr Banks. So many great books.

I'll choose George Michael as a replacement. "

Pretty much what Chief said. It's just a bit of harmless (if grim) fun. There are some people in the public eye I wouldn't feel quite right about putting down (Anne Williams for example), so I go for people that I have no real opinion on. Some people probably think it's sick, which is fair enough - I can see where they're coming from.

On an unrelated note, however, Jeremy Irons just keeps putting his foot in it, doesn't he?

It's weird, because I'm the kind of person that doesn't have much boundaries for jokes or general offensive material and yet I've always found the Dead Pool thing on here really distasteful.

I'm just gutted you're only allowed famous people - I would've cleaned up the last few years if friends and relatives were allowed.

A young guy from my hometown that moved to the States a while back has just posted on FB pleading for people to keep an eye out for his wife and young son that have been missing for the past 12 hours. Scary stuff.

She's wearing a much nicer outfit today and looks like heaven in a dress.
How Bill Turnbull can sit next to her for three hours without getting visibly boned up is beyond me. He must have a cold spoon in his underpants.

Good lord, she's gonna be interviewing Oona Chaplin later. That's just too much loveliness for one settee. I'm out.

Is it me or is the forum a slightly unpleasant place of late? Maybe I'm being over-sensitive....

It's certainly been more active. I remember back in January when the place was a morgue.

Looking at it more, it seems like a bit of a domestic and she took off to stay somewhere else. The wee prick made it out like it was worse, possibly for sympathy/drama.

In retrospect I think I was just having a bad morning. Matty's obsession with Gina G cheered me up.
