Banana Soreen is disappointingly not bananery enough. Tastes like the normal one with all the good stuff taken out

Got the news last night that my partner's parents' younger springer spaniel was hit and killed by a van on their morning walk. Freak accident, from what I can tell - he and their other springer suddenly chased off after another dog, and must have just run in front of the van. Bizarre really, because normally he doesn't have any interest at all in other dogs when they're out.

Feeling so bad for my partner's mum, who was the one out walking them. They must have run some distance because she didn't see the accident; she was trying to call them back but only one came. Absolutely horrible. Only consolation is that he was killed instantly, so at least he didn't suffer.

I only met him once, but I'm really gutted. He was a lovely, stupid dog who just wanted to be cuddled all the time. Barely one year old too.

An extra kick in the teeth is that they'd just taken out 17k loan to get a bigger caravan, because the one they had wasn't big enough enough for both dogs.

What a sad story Valyana.

Similarly there is a cheeky little cat who lives nearby who quite a few times you would find it peeking around the living room door if the back door had been left open. I heard earlier it ran underneath a car earlier today.

I'll be limping today because of a cramp attack in the middle of the night.

Also, I took my Lovefilm envelope out with me this morning to post back and I have no idea what I've done with it. If I've left it somewhere, hopefully someone will find it and just stick it in a postbox for me.

Whatever happened to Amanda Byrne. It looks like acting has taken another child actor down in their slightly later years.

Had my last uni exam of second year this morning, followed by some retail therapy - stopped into HMV and got a few good deals, as well as some books for my dissertation. Now to sit outside in the sun for a bit with a drink, before I paint the town red tonight. All in all, not a bad day. Apart from the exam.

Considering they promised a warm weekend today has been very overcast and about 12c. Not exactly balmy. Still on the bright side only 20 days until midsummers day.

Is it just me or does this look like Stephen Fry co-starring with Ving Rhames?

It looks more like Paris Hilton's movie career to me.

[EDIT]

For anyone in the future (or anyone viewing this on Dave ), I said the above because the image wasn't showing. I.e. non existent.

Just send them a message saying you've sent it back and a week or so has passed and you're still waiting for your next one. I've done this a few times when I've mistakenly mislaid one and they accept blame immediately and post your next disc out straight away. Each time I've then found it at a later date (that's life etc) and felt dead guilty but what the hell. Mind, the third time they said they'd be monitoring the postal service in my area but I think they were bullshitting.

Housework + AC/DC at full blast = a happy Shifty

It's the AC/DC part that makes me happy, I may add.

I think it differs from place to place, person to person.

Personally I never really liked being called 'hen', as quite often heard in Glasgow. And it can depend on the person/context as to whether or not I find being called 'darling' acceptable.

I have a Geordie pal who calls me 'pet' a lot, or greets me with an 'alreet pet?', and I really like it.

One of my other friends calls people 'sausage' as an affectionate term. I know, it sounds laughable written down, but somehow it just works for him. Although he never uses it on strangers obviously.

And then my brother usually calls me Commander Twatpants.

All personal preference I guess.
