The first round of Pointless tonight was amazing. Four pointless answers and the couple that got knocked out of the round only had 7 points!

The deep aching pain would suggest it's definitely mine.

There's always a bit of shrinkage after your mum gives it a thorough workout.

There is no worse pain in the world.

I was at a swimming pool on Sunday and got shot in the balls by a jet of water. I literally folded in half.

I was playing indoor 5-a-side footy once and managed to prevent a certain goal by the opposing striker as he bladdered the ball as hard as he could from about 2 yards out, by using what felt like nothing but my testicles. After about 15 minutes I'd recovered enough to let out gasps of pain and get to my feet. About another 15 minutes after that I'd managed to hobble the 100 yards home. About an hour after that the swelling had reduced enough in the tepid bath for me to risk putting on some underwear. 13 years later I'm still fairly sure that act of heroism has left me as sterile as a NASA clean-room.

And we didn't win the fucking match, either.

Is it wrong to initally recognise your cousin on television by his watch? He certainly wasn't joking when he mentioned cacking it at that market.

Just watched Sightseers, and really can't decide if I liked it or not.

I am so glad I'm not the only one who doesn't have a clue. I thought maybe I was just too tired after being out today.

Sanchia.... are you still on a lot of drugs for your back right now?

Only prescribed ones

My cousin was on a documentary on BBC2 last night and I realised I recognised him when he first appeared on screen by the sight of his watch. When he had to go to a market with his boss regarding purchasing an endangered species he had told me he was cacking himself because the people he was meeting could tun very violent (machete violent) and you could see the fear on his face.

He is one of those charismatic devils who gets to know one person which opens a door to another and so on which gets him to a good job. Sadly something I lack.

We watched the documentary in the spaces between the power cuts. It was horrible what they did to that lovely little creature in the market.

Did they find the orang-utan they were looking for? The king?

This time of year, I always remember with fondness the heady heights of the Scottish Thread and the classic few pages that reinvented the Passion and Crucifixion casting Jason Statham as Jesus.

And then I remember that Paul got the thread deleted. The cunt.

Despite getting the all clear from the hospital a couple of weeks ago, I've not been able to shake the feeling of expecting to hear back from them again. Everytime the phone rings at home I get a little nervous.

Today I missed a call on my mobile from a private number earlier on this morning - but there was no message left. And it tried again this evening - but I was actually too scared to answer.

My rational side tells me there's no reason for it to be the hospital now, as I'm not waiting for any test results and my next check up with them is in June.

But I just can't shake the feeling they're going to call and tell me they've been back over things and they've made a mistake...

Sadly not. He had vanished without a trace and Terry Pratchett was a little to fragile at that stage to go really deep into the jungle (even more fragile now ).

I have had THIS stuck in my head since 6 am this morning, I will swap you. (Although I now remember why the video had such a lasting impact on my youthful mind).

My poor folks have been really ill today. Originally they thought it was the chipper we'd had for tea last night - all of us had the same meal, but I've been fine today.

I've never seen the two of them so ill before though, so I've been concerned about them all day.

If this is a bug, does anybody know the likelihood of me picking it up so long after they started suffering from it? My body wouldn't cope with that at the moment.

I think it depends on the bug, to be honest.

Some latch onto you straight away, some might take a week or so. There was a stomach bug going around the two boys and my ex-wife and her family last month and it took about a week for it to hit me - probably because I was only seeing them for little bits of the day here and there.

Considering what you've gone through, however, it might genuinely be a good idea to see if you can crash at someone else's until your folks are back on their feet.
