Nope, I'm a Breaking Bad virgin. I've not heard a single person say it's anything less than excellent though, so I'm expecting a lot. And if it lets me down...well, that's four seasons I'll stubbornly get through to at least get my money's worth before hoying them onto eBay.

I just popped my Breaking Bad cherry last week. Up to Ep5, S2 now and it's bloody brilliant.

You know how some things are really great, and you recommend them to people saying OMG THIS IS AMAZING WATCH THIS NOW, and when they do they're ultimately disappointed because their expectations have been raised so much that, however good it is, disappointment is inevitable?

That's not something I'm worried about with Breaking Bad.

It's THAT good.

Pfft, put them to one side once it arrives so you can begin the Walter/Jesse journey

One of my favourite running songs at the moment is a french chilean song from one of the episodes. Heard it, loved it, downloaded the album!

It's been great so far. I keep getting the feeling that if all of what has happened to Walt happened to me I'd have just topped myself early on.

Finally watched Ridley Scott's Robin Hood. It definitely lacked a singing cockerel (there's a freebie), but I actually quite enjoyed it.

Although there's a scene in it which showed a ram stuck in deep mud which really reminds me of a similar scene from another film, but my brain won't let me figure out what it is.

Being stuck indoors today, I foolishly decided to have a 90s action movie day. Films I have not seen probably since the decade they were released. I watched Murder At 1600, Fled, Most Wanted and A Low Down Dirty Shame.

Why do I do it to myself?

To be fair, there will never be a better Robin Hood than Disney's Robin Hood. It also happens to be the best original Disney film anyway.

So today's viewings have been as follows: Beasts of The Southern Wild, Robin Hood, Rust and Bone.

To be honest, despite the fact that it's absolutely appalling, the only Robin Hood film I've ever really enjoyed from start to finish is Men In Tights. As with Spaceballs, the crass unfunniness never fails to tickle me (he's a wiley old bird that Mel Brooks).
Oof. Just got irudely interrupted by Chris on Family Guy doing the Buffallo Bill/cock-between-the-thighs thing. Oof.

Working nights at home is fucking awesome. I feel so much more awake than I do during the day, and I get to watch movies. I was going to watch a John Carpenter triple bill (Big Trouble, The Fog, The Thing) but I also have time to watch They Live as well.

Hold on, you work nights, but at home, and get to watch films as you do so?

Erm, what exactly do you do for your job?

Would you fuck me? I'd fuck me.

Men in Tights is awesome, the world would be a duller place without that in it.

Normally I work in an office doing tech support. At the moment I'm covering singapore hours (instead of going there, though I may do that too in a month or so).

Its all computer based/online and as I'm plumped in the lounge, can watch movies uninterrupted for my entire 9 hour shift.

And with that, goodnight!

Despite the fact that the optician said my eyesight probably wouldn't deteriorate much more than it has already, a year after my last eye test and I'm struggling to read the laptop barely one foot away from my face when not even 4 years ago I had perfect eyesight.

I'm bashful like that.

I have a feeling it's one of those films that for me, heavily depends on the mood I'm in when I'm watching it. I could easily imagine watching it for the first time in a different mood and not liking it.

But that's just me.

Ooft, I think I would have hated it by then too. It's a fairly long film anyway, unnecessarily so in my opinion - although I did happen to pick up the director's cut. It probably would have benefited being about 30 mins shorter.
