ORIGINAL: UTB Just been asked my thoughts on spending a couple of weeks in Singapore for work... never been, so I'm not sure! My oldest brother has lived out there for years - I've had two trips to visit him (before my fear of flying stopped me doing another one). First time was for a month and the second time for three weeks. It's a lovely place. I'd highly recommend going - so much to see and do. Sentosa Island, accessible by cable car or a little monorail from Vivo City (a shopping mall), is awesome. Beautiful beaches, and loads of activities - Universal Studios (which wasn't open when I first went, but sports an awesome BSG themed roller coaster), a butterfly & insect world, Fort Siloso (my favourite), golf courses, a luge ride, sea life centre, zip line, cafes.......... Singapore itself has so many parks, lovely river walks, an amazing zoo (and I'm not keen on zoos), a bird park, an amazing opera house built to look like a Durian fruit, the new marina sands casino building that has one of those sky pools.... The list is endless. I basically can't recommend it enough. Good luck trying to see and do everything in between working. Edit: Well I quickly killed that convo with my rambling.
