Vin Diesel sings Rhianna...the results are amazing.

I watched this after you posted it on your facebook and it still boggles the mind. Is that definitely ole Vinnie?

A friend of mine posted on Facebook 'Shit, Scatman John has died!' I had to point out that he did indeed die.....in 1999!

I messaged him on Facebook to see if I had read it wrong and that this was him just discovering that the dude had died but he genuinely thought it happened today. Not sure how he came up with that but I chuckled.

That reminds me of the time when we had a school trip camping across France and Spain for two weeks.

It was great, but a few months after we returned I was talking to a couple of mates about how John Candy hadn't made anything lately.

"Erm, well, he's dead which would explain it."

"What?! When did that happen?"

So he died while I was on holiday and in the pre-internet age, I didn't hear about it till months afterwards.

At least he went before the meaning of his name changed so dramatically.

Someone in the closing credits of Wreck it Ralph was called Adolf. I didn't think anyone these days was called that, or at least comfortable enough not to have it changed.

The characters in How I Met Your Mother aren't half irritating (especially her out of American Pie). And they're clearly not supposed to be irritating. Bell-ends.

I can't stand this show. I don't understand how people find it funny or why Neil Patrick Harris' character is put on a pedestal. I'd heard great things about it, so downloaded the first season, and I didn't make it very far.

I'm currently making my way through It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia though, and it's brilliant.

The stepson loves this and I have no idea why. Someone tried to sell it to me by saying, "It's like Friends!" and they're right, it is - just not in the way that they meant.

Anyway, wiped out by this bug. Huge three hour sleep earlier and the only thing I've eaten all day is about three spoonfuls of jelly.

I've been fighting something all week to attend the film festival but by the 2nd film today I'd had it and had to come home. So missing a rarity and the surprise film to lie and be miserable in bed instead. Thoroughly cheesed off.

More so because it's possible the bug was from someone at work just before I left who should never have been there because she was really ill.

Hope you both feel better soon, Matty and Elab. Nothing worse - especially if you think you've managed to avoid it. Seems like this kind of thing is doing the rounds just now. A pal of mine is off work with suspected norovirus.... So, a nasty bug, basically. She was meant to visit me this week, but obviously due to my body's weak state and her ill health, that'll be put off for a wee while yet.

Ta.

Well, since the two spoonfuls of jelly I've managed a tangerine, a ginger nut biscuit and half a packet of crips and feel OK, as in I don't think I'm going to be sick.

Just feverish, crampy and knackered. Trying to decide how long I'll be able to stay awake for tonight, considering my big nap earlier.

Pity you don't get alcohol in cough mixture anymore - that'd help. I'd need a mass of painkillers for the headache the coughing's giving me though.

I used to watch the Brits when I was a kid and into all the latest music, but now I'm older I still kinda view it as a young kids thing. (I know it's not) I haven't watched it in years. Mind you, the kind of music I like is all from the 60s and 70s.

The fact that the Brits are presented by James Corden is enough for me to happily ignore the whole thing. But yeah, not exactly my kind of music. Year of drear.

Same here. We only put it on when the football was finished and I was pretty much horrified by the above acts and the gushing over them. I know it's probably because guitar music was more dominant in the 90s, but the Brits used to be more fun than what I hear about it these days.

I was going to watch it, but it would have been a litany of "Who's that? Who are they?" from me so I didn't see the point. The days when Jarvis Cocker made it fun are a long time ago. And I also have vague memories of KLF and Suede turning in performances that would make parents tut because they seemed genuinely rebellious.

Maybe it's just my age, but I do get the impression it's incredibly sanitised now. The only category I'm vaguely interested in is lifetime achievement - who got that this year?
