There were seven series of The Upper Hand. Seven.

Just think about that.

I still can't believe there was even one series of Coupling.

Hey, I liked Coupling.

Is it acceptable when taking your child to a birthday party to wrap the other child's birthday present in Christmas wrapping paper?

Also, there was a child wearing a hat throughout which made him look like Mickey Pearce.

Never.

Coupling was excellent before Coyle bailed.

On a similar but unrelated vein, where do you get a flat cap for a cat and a turtleneck?

I may have to cut a few people from Facebook. Do people really believe all the bullshit about immigrants getting a free ride that they repeatedly post? Depresses the shit out of me.

Sadly too many do without actually looking into what the truth is. It does not take much to research into what immigrants actually can obtain on benefits etc. it is not any more than anyone else can claim and in quite a few cases less. The problem is the people who do tend to believe it tend to call you a liar (or the good old "liberal" as an insult comment which in itself is stupid) if you direct them to the reality of the situation.

I prefer cats in bomber jackets.

The only british sitcom more irritatingly unfunny than Coupling was Game On.

Just had a discussion on Facebook about what animal Goofy is. Well, I say 'discussion' but I really mean people telling me I'm 'so wrong' that he is a dog then them replying later to say 'oh, he is, I googled it'.

It's like if the kids in Stand By Me had the internet.

I think Mrs Brown's Boys and Miranda are possibly more unfunny than the two you just mentioned.

Mrs Brown's Boys in particular is staggeringly unfunny.

I am having one of these days.

Just read the synopsis for "This is 40" on the Cineworld website:

A married couple experience hilarious ups and downs in this 'sort of' sequel to Knocked Up.

I wasn't that interested in seeing it before, and that hasn't helped matters...

How can a bag of popcorn which has .6g of salt taste so much more salty than my noodle soup from Eat which contains a whopping 4g salt?

Thinking of entering the Dundee International Book Prize again this year. Different novel, of course. No bloody chance but worth another shot.

I wish you luck.

I'm sure Toby Monroe would agree with me on that.

Edited because... Well you know!

I've got about three weeks to proof-read and tinker before I submit. I first wrote this particular book when I was 16 and it was enthusiastic but mainly crap. It's changed a lot since then. No better editor than life experience.

Loved Coupling but I'm obsessed with Jack Davenport.

Why are you all looking at me like that?

Finally home after another absolutely hellish week in hospital.

I thought that because I'd already had a similar op in December that I'd know what to expect and be able to cope with it better. Wrong. This time round was so much worse. The morphine didn't touch the pain, and I was sick several times.

Anyway now have to play the waiting game. If the biopsies on what they removed this time round come back clear, I'm going to be the happiest person out there. If not, I'm looking at chemo and a 3rd round of surgery.

I don't care if this is all information you think should be kept private. I just need to vent semi-anonymously about this crap.

Still, they didn't use the whole of the previous incision so I only have 29 staples instead of 37 this time. Silver linings and all that....

Don't be silly, it's a relief to see you back posting (and back home).

IMO anger is something that is too often suppressed going through this - and people often don't like doing at home because they want to put on a 'face' for an already upset family. But anger seems like the most normal reaction. Go for it.
