I don't have a fear of flying but I'm not a very good flier at all, I'll do it but I need my fears eased pretty regularly. So watching 'Flight' was a really smart idea.

Is this flirting by proxy?

Nice idea, but I suspect she's implying you're a miserable cunt.

Hmm...I do tend to give the impression that I'd happily mow them all down with the double-buggy if they don't get out of the way. Some of the school-gate mums (not all) seem to live in a world oblivious to everything else, and that includes the logistical needs of others trying to negotiate their way around them with a large heavy object. I might be wrong but there still seems to be an element of instinctual distrust whenever they see a man approaching in that environment.

Do people actually believe themselves when they say that they have no friends because everyone that surrounds them is rubbish?

Are you referring to me specifically or just making a general comment?

Same with Chief Wiggum

Hate it when people just vanish (apart from when they've been banned which these haven't) as I worry that they're okay. Guess real life takes over.

Remember that thread I started about worrying about forumites when they just stop posting for no apparent reason? That was about BishopQuaker, and I still wonder about him.

Fluke has also disappeared.

Although in his case, maybe THEY got him.

He's fine. He took a breather from the forums due to an annoyance overload.

I'm sure BQ is fine. He unfriended and stopped following a bunch of Empire people a while back. Maybe he had just had enough.

The Bench is all well and good. He's just taking a hiatus from this place for a while.

Apparently he has this "life" thing going on outside of here.

Good.

I was wondering where he was yesterday when I noticed his retro comics thread had been lying dormant for a month.

Anyway I've been uhming and ahhing about goint to watch a screening of Under Milk Wood followed by a Q&A with the director, Andrew Sinclair next month for the last few hours. The only thing stopping me is that it's during the afternoon and I'm running really short of annual leave at work.

What to do?

They do. They're bloody useless - they brats go on silent mode so you keep having to run upstairs anyway.

Go, it's a brilliant film. Where's the screening? I might see if I can get there myself.

She isn’t playing dead oh no…She has learnt in the last few weeks to stand up on her own and walk to the corner of the crib and stare into the camera (she’s been doing that for a while, upon waking she will wave) thing is she never makes a sound, just stares, eyes shining in the darkness. The last couple of nights I’ve been here I’ve been positive she’s doing it but when I go and check to put her back down…sound a bloody sleep.

Yeah our English teacher made us watch it when we were doing Under Milk Wood for GCSE English. I saw it again a few years back. I don't really remember much of it which is odd because I really like the play (which makes my faux pas above all the more embarassing ).
