 Just checked the weather for Vienna for when I am there (9 - 12th Dec) and it is snow, snow and snow! At the same time it is supposed to feel like -9 during the day........ Got all me thermals ready!

Of course, that may change between now and then but I hope not!!

Quite the jetsetter this December!    I've just checked the weather for Belfast this weekend and...err..well...enjoy Vienna!   At least we can give you a great xmas market this weekend - complete with beer tents, bratwurst and bison burgers!  I think we may be getting a taxi into town on Saturday - I want some mulled cider with calvados!

 Another doc's visit and have been signed off now for another 8 weeks - but he reckons this should include recovery time from surgery etc.

 Good to hear that things seems to be rolling along nicely Sway. It is such a pleasant experience to not be in limbo I would imagine.


On another note, M&S, who rolls around in snow in a jumper with no coat on?

Also beef jerky is weird stuff. It is like eating tasty woven cotton.

Thanks, yeah after today's trip to the doc I feel so much better. He went into a lot of detail about my scan results that the previous doctor didn't tell me. My doctor thinks it might have been so as not to alarm me, but I prefer knowing all the details, rather than just the basics. Makes me feel more informed.

Anyway he reckons that things will get moving quite quickly once I've been to the hospital on Friday.

I hope so, I would really like to get sorted before Christmas and have a bit of recovery time before Christmas day, so I'm not stuck in bed!

 I've played that Kojak one as one of my mates had it when we were kids. It was shit. We used to have days where everyone would bring their favourite game to school when I was in primary school and I'm fairly certain I remember somebody bringing that Mr T game in. Pretty sure that was shit as well .

Massive massive panic over. I was distracted yesterday and when I DL a file to work on didn't realise I hadn't initially saved it to the Docs folder so it was still in temp. OPened this morning to find no trace of it anywhere and thought I'd lost more than 10 hours work.

Now I know how to acess the appdata/temp stuff!

My Amazon package had a 'guaranteed delivery date' of yesterday and I had it delivered to work... saw the post room person walk in with something looking like it yesterday and then walk out again.

Hope someone hasn't nicked it as it contains the film Michael - a film about a paedophile.

Maybe not so bad per se, but take it in the context that it was released and we have a clear winner.  Devised and published by no less than Bill Roache (Corrie's Ken Barlowe), it was an attempt to recoup some money after a disasterous court case against The Sun that left him bankrupt.  They'd accused him of being boring, he sued for libel and won but, because the award was the same as News International's out of court settlement offer, he was adjudged to have wasted the court's time and faced massive 6-figure legal fees.  Many years ago, I found this being sold for £1 in one of those novelty gift shops that normally cater for stag/hen party items, and just had to buy it to see if it was as bad as it sounded.  It wasn't.  It was so much worse.  At the risk of running foul of Mr Roache's lawyers, producing one of the most mind-numbingly boring board games ever doesn't exactly help his defence!

The News At Ten game was the winner in the context of 'they made a game of that?' ones I was looking at on Ebay. If I had saw that one, I may have picked it but I had the search on 'Film and TV' games not arse-numbingly boring ones. That does sound awful, I'd have asked for my pound back
