Oh yeah I've no doubt people can handle the euphemism, I was just wondering hyperthetically where it would end. If a man changed his name by deed poll to Cunty McFuckchops, would they print it if Cunty killed the Prime Minister?

Of course you can't have that name legally, but you get what I mean.

Just seen the Alfred Hitchcock Biopic Trailer starring Hopkins,Mirren and Scarlett Johansson.
I know you cant judge a film by its trailer (unless its Rock Of Ages) but I'm going to do it anyway and say it looks abit carp.

I've just seen the following still from the film and have to agree.

Found out today that I'm related to Scott Hicks (director of films like Hearts In Atlantis, The Boys Are Back, The Lucky One and Shine) and that I'm going to a family reunion at his home next year. Probably should brush up on a few of his films beforehand.

My sister's boyfriend works for his dad's building business. Sadly, this business is going under and his dad is struggling to keep paying his four employees. He offered to pay off one of his employees thinking it'll be easier to keep the three than the four. He did everything by the book and made the dude an offer, to which he agreed. The very next day, though, the dude came to work and said he had changed his mind because his wife had went to the Citizen's Advice Bureau who told her that he'll get more money when the business goes under so he'd be better staying where he is. And just wait for the business to die which it will do so quicker than it would if he took the offer......

I though that was quite shitty to be honest considering the amount he gets won't actually be that much more.

Hmm, I dunno. When it comes to being made redundant then I think you've got to look after number one.

I'm afraid I kind of agree. I've been unemployed "that much more" can really make a massive difference when you've half of nothing coming in. Also maybe he can find another job while waiting out time on this one.

If his colleagues feel really hard done by that he's not taking the bullet for the team then maybe they can step up and put their necks on the chopping block. If the boss feels hard done by then he can go through a process of making a position redundant to save the company or if its "not that much more" maybe he can put a better offer on the table than the dude would get if he waited it out.

Its bad times all round, but I think you have to look after yourself and your family.

Really desperate for a nap but I know if I do sleep I'll just wake up groggy and have a sore head for the rest of the night. Must fight!

That hasn't stopped me from taking my contacts out just in case I do fall asleep!

Tomorrow I'm meeting up with my former best friend for the first time in a couple of years. I say former because although we've never fallen out or anything, suddenly we stopped bothering hanging out.

What usually happens is that we meet up and nothing has changed, only now he's going to be a dad so I wonder how it'll change..

Please ask him for me what it's like to work with Zac Efron.

I'm thinking watching Roger Moore huff and puff through his action scenes in A View to Kill is rather cringe worthy. What an awful flick.

Forgot to pack other trainers to wear at work this morning (the ones I used to jog up got soaked) so I've sat about in my socks all morning.

I also have other clothes on before anyone pounces on the obvious joke.

Disturbingly a true story:

At lunch I passed a woman pushing a pushchair whilst there was also a small child in tow. "Come on Ikea" she bellowed, "TK will get bored" (referring the the baby).

I have a frightening thought that Ikea's brother has a middle name of Max.

Swingers. I just never got it. Ron Livingstone is about the only good thing about it. Vince Vaughn is terribly unlikable, I don't think I like anything he's in.

Fucks sake. Server migration work and manual data extracts mean I'm logged in at home at some fucking ridiculous hour. Am now going to be at it till about 8am. Drinking coffee at this time feels wrong. I cant have the TV or Radio on as the missus is fast on upstairs. It's cold. I had to chase off a saucer sized spider before I could get settled (dont worry its dead/has been released to the wild - delete as applicable to your house spider disposal method) and I can occasionally hear pissed up wankers stumbling out of cabs down the road. It truly is depressing. I had a bottle of wine and a Caramac earlier so feel sick. The Empire Forums are a ghost town too (I thought this place was a hive of scum and villainy at this time) so I cant even keep myself amused. This is truly grim.

Thinking back, the only character Vince Vaughn has ever played is a an arrogant dick. Even when he is supposed to be playing a likable dick he comes across arrogant.

Reading that back I think there may be an innuendo overload.

He's just a dick. I've made my mind up, I don't like him. I'm sure he's devastated.

So much to do today but I just don't want to get out of bed. I've also got a slight hangover after drinking one glass of pink bubbly. What a useless fanny.

Staying up till 4 discussing The Beatles and drinking what is left of our Summer booze. I've just thrown what is either blood or pimms. I'm hoping for pimms because now I have to go to work and serve other hungover wankers lottery tickets and fags.

Just had a wisdom tooth out. It broke off while they were trying to get it out which made everything a bit more annoying. They also had to cut into the gum so my face is now going to swell up a whole lot and I was advised to take at least 3 days off work. Looks like I'll be watching quite a few films in the next few days!

It's not too bad at the moment, I just look and talk weird and my jaw aches. But I'm fully aware that when the anaesthetic wears off I'm going to be in a bit of pain.

It was weird during it. Not being able to feel a thing in the area they're yanking the tooth out but the rest of you can feel something is going on. Also seeing the suction tube sucking out blood from my mouth is a bit unnerving!

Also I cannot wait to no longer have gum infections. They've been driving me mad for ages.

Edit: the worst thing at the moment is the taste, it's horrible. I'm not even allowed to wash my mouth or swish water around.

Also Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley are now married? Good for them. They seem like a pleasant couple.

Urgh, I really hate public transport sometimes.

On the bus to work this morning and I was aware that there was some kind of altercation going on. There was a bunch of teenagers at the back of the bus and some kind of argument started with a woman a few seats in front who was with a girl about nine or ten years old. I had my iPod on so couldn't hear exactly what it was all about, but I got the feeling that she asked them to stop swearing and got a volley full of abuse in return. However, I definitely heard her swear at them, so maybe it wasn't about that, or if it was she kind of lost the moral high ground a bit.

Anyway, the bus got to its destination where the driver pulled up and wouldn't let anybody off (it was full) till the police arrived as the woman had complained. The driver asked the woman to come to the front again and as she did an old woman* stood next to me started shouting at her to hurry up as she was going to miss her connection. At this point I noticed that the girl who was with this woman was in tears over the whole thing and at this point I lost it. I told the old woman in no uncertain terms that the reason the woman was taking so long to get to the front of the bus was because SHE had stopped her to have a go at her, and if she wanted this woman to hurry up maybe she should shut her trap.

So the police got on, but I think the teenagers somehow got away through the middle door of the bus (it's one of those bendy buses with a door halfway along). As I say, the woman was definitely swearing at them which didn't help her cause, but there was a whole bunch of them and it was nothing more than bullying, really. One lad came up to the woman when she'd sat down and yelled in her ear which was really unnecessary I thought.

And now I feel sick. Although there was no violence I really do hate altercations of this kind and the girl getting upset made it all the worse. Generally speaking, from what I saw I'm on her side, so, you know, not to be too harsh but hopefully the teenagers ran off into heavy traffic or something.

* I should also clarify that when I say 'old woman' she was in her late 50's. I wasn't picking an argument with an old granny on crutches or anything. She could stand up and yell of her own accord, so I have no guilt at telling her to shut up. I'm still a little bit shocked I did that, actually. Those who know me in real life will tell you I'm generally quite a mild-mannered person.

So yeah. That was a shitty journey.
