I will also watch Strictly Come Dancing later, and don't care who knows it.

Just for the pretty dancer ladies or an admiration of the dance form?

I know why I occasionally watch it.

Though you're not too far off the mark, I've gone red. But, red red, not ginger red.

Red/ginger hair on women is fine, quite nice actually. Ginger hair on guys is not.

I'm going white. Not grey, white.

There is no such thing as grey. The hair loses its pigmentation and the combination of hair with no pigment - ie, white - with the natural brunette or black - gives the impression of grey.

Watching Heroes Of Comedy: Tony Hancock on Gold last night I was struck by a couple of things: 1. He's the spitting image of Jake Gyllenhal. 2. When she was young June Whitfield was a right saucy bit of crumpet.

No, it's the shittest browser on the net. And yet I insist on using the fucking thing.

Came in here to mention this too - who in their right mind would think that drinking something at minus 190-odd degrees that is known to flash-freeze human tissue would be a good experience?  Apparently its all the rage on the cocktail set, following the use of the substance in cooking.  But what they seem to have failed to grasp is that Blumenthal and co used it as a method of quick freezing the food, not a bloody ingredient!

The worrying thing is she seems to have bought the cocktail in a bar that was selling it.

There's a little ice-cream parlour in Camden Market that is selling ice-cream (obviously) made using liquid nitrogen and it is quite the novelty to see.  When we went in there I did comment on how the health and safety must be a nightmare as well as their premiums being really high.  Fun to watch at a distance and the guys making it had all sorts of heavy duty safety gear on.  I wouldn't even go near the stuff let along want to touch it or even frigging drink it.   Bet what little brain cells she had have all but gone and the bar that sold it?  That needs shutting down or at the very least investigating why they thought it would be safe to stick in a drink!

Just had my first swim in about five years and I am absolutely fucked after one-and-a-half lengths.

So unfit.

Can anyone tell me whereabouts the Breaking Bad thread starts? Can I go into it on the first page if I'm nearly finished season 3?

The first page is fine, it's just a lot of chat about when things are being aired etc. Everybody seemed to miss the boat on this show to begin with, as page 2 quickly jumps to chat of S3, so I'd probably avoid going further than page 1!

I started it during season 2, and I think word of mouth online saw a lot of people start from there or further on too.

It is. I had a severe case of it during the summer.

Get well soon, ma'am. I'm assuming you're the one who has it.

I am wondering why I'm on here instead of writing a reflection on SELIG's 2003 report on promoting emotional literacy in schools. But it's probably because I have absolutely nothing to say on the subject other than "yup, that seems reasonable."

Got a new piercing today and it wasn't the worst I've had by far, but for the rest of the day it's been throbbing and I've never had that with any of my other piercings.

Not complaining since I willingly got a bit of metal stuck through me, more of an observation.

(Fully expecting an edited version of my post to make an appearance.)
