Well, hopefully you can speak to your mum which is what the conversation was about in the first place. If that is also an impossible task for you then there is, genuinely no hope for you.

I'm confortable speaking to my mum because she's the only female whose tits I've ever touched.

My flatmate and his pal are upstairs watching The X-Factor, critquing the songs and contestants.

I'm away to watch some Sons of Anarchy.

There's something wrong with this picture.....

I had a house to myself for the best part of a month until recently and, not to say I don't like having family around, I realised how much better it is living alone. Beholden to no one, keeping my own hours, frequently nude. It was heavenly.

Goodbye, naked Thursdays! I will miss you.

Occasionally all my housemates will all be away at the same time, like the weekend just gone. It's great strolling around without having to put clothes on and not having to close the door to do a wee is pretty much heaven.

I'm wondering which of Fluke's comments this week are more controversial - the ones about the Middle East, or the ones about John Terry.

I have a crow which has visited me at work every day I have been there for the last two weeks or so.

If there are any owls out there tonight don't worry - they're the ones that are doomed. To smash into the side of my house in this wind, I think.

Three hours to get to work is not the ideal way to start the day.

Including a crushed Metro which got me up close and personal with two strangers more than I'm comfortable with.

Damn, I tell ya, owning a dog in this here village is pretty damn stressful.

Somehow one of my mum's dogs managed to jump a fence, get into the neighbor's garden, and got royally fucked over by three bigger dogs. Poor little guy is now mentally fucked up, has a bad cut behind his right hind leg and a small cut just underneath his throat. He's just been hurried over to the vet right now.

Considering how those three bigger dogs went for him it's a wonder how I managed to get the little fella out in one piece. It was fucking weird and scary watching a little Jack Russell Terrier get dragged off on his leg by a much bigger dog.

That's horrible

No wonder they're kept in a garden - you must have taken quite a risk going in after the little one.

He was shaking and breathing strangely, but I think that's because he's more traumatized than anything else. Dumber than a bag of rocks that kid. Always barking and getting all brave and shit with bigger dogs.

I caught my leg on a fence and hurt my hand from punching one of the dogs in the head. Apart from that I was cool.

Just a quick q for any cat people (that's people who have cat, not felis sapiens), is it cruel to keep cats as solely indoors cats? After losing my previous wee cat after she got knocked down, I can't bear the thought of letting my new cat out. And I know my wife can't either.

I know I should just man up and let him out (after he's had the snip obvs) but is it unfair or even bad for the cat for him to be inside all the time?

No (imo).  A few of my friends have house cats and they're very happy and as long as they haven't experienced the outdoors at all then I believe it is fine.  I think there are some breeds who are more suited to being indoors all the time but can't remember exactly.  My friends have got Ragdolls and Main Coons.    There is specific food for indoor cats as well so I don't believe that this would be around if Vets thought it was bad for cats to be in all the time
