30 Years. 30 Covers.

Empire is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Star Wars with our biggest Force related extravaganza yet.

To mark this very special event, Empire has embarked on its most ambitious issue ever. There have been fights in the office, tears at team meetings, and many expletives shouted, but after weeks of deliberation we have produced 30 exclusive Empire covers featuring the 30 greatest Star Wars characters.

Can you guess which characters will appear on our 30 covers?

How are you going to make sure every subscriber gets the cover they want??? Give them all 30?
Though actually that Chewbacca one looks the business. Or failing that can I have one with Greedo on?

Yeah, I hope they give subscribers a new, exclusive cover, like with Indy. Something REALLY special.

BTW, Empire: if I could afford 'em all, I'd buy 'em all.

I reckon you can get about twenty definites for the covers (Han, Leia, Obi-Wan, etc) but what about the more obscure ones? Who does anyone want to see? Personally I'd like Salacious Crumb.

I want to see that little baby alien in the bar who squeaks when he gets given a beaker of space-ribena. That would look nice. Do that one.

I think it sounds cool if incredibly over ambitious, presumably most people won't have a choice of all 30 as I can't see the local WHSmith's stocking every single one. Clearly they'll be different numbers of each cover, after all there's going to be a fair amount more demand for Han Solo than there is for C3PO.
Of course, I think what we all really want to see is the Dr. Zoidberg of the Star Wars universe, Admiral Ackbar, it may be the only chance a useless fishfaced commander has to be on the cover of a major movie magazine.

Kit Fisto would be awesome. There's gonna be an inevitable backlash here, and i think its completely futile. No-one said you had to buy 30 covers, i think its fine. Obviously Han's and Darth's are gonna be the big sellers, but i hope Empire doesn't ignore the new trilogy completely. It's a good chance to have Christopher Lee on the cover.

The only problem with this is that, as usual, subscribers wont get to choose which cover they get.

I'd want Nien Numb, that guy's brilliant. Imagine having to go through life with a face like a vagina.

Wasn't there something in Empire a year or two back declaring that to be their final ever major Star Wars feature? What else is there left to say?

I love and hate this idea. I love it because its awesome, I hate it because 29*3.70 = 107.30 (i took one away for my subs issue) I want them all, but its not worth it. I'd like to see the little rat from return of the jedi that looks like rizzo from the muppets and sits near Jabba the Hutt. I'd also like to see some of the jedi council, Ki Adi-Mundi, Kit Fisto, etc. Why do you torment us with so much good stuff? i want them all!

The subsribers cover had better be fricking awesome. Please, not

I think part of the point of having thirty covers - as opposed to three, or five, or something - is that's impossible, pretty much, to get them all. So it's more a case of finding rare ones, or your favourite characters, or obscure characters, etc.

I wonder if, alongside Star Wars superstars such as Nien Nunb and Lobot, there'll also be a TIE Fighter cover, a Falcon cover, etc...? Will we get three Anakins? Will there be Jar Jar?

I'm actually pretty excited.

So, will one cover be chosen to be published which we vote for? Or will all 30 be published?

It'll be like the recent Q thing where they had 20 covers, with different stars from down the years. I only saw about five of those, but i got Paul McCartney so all was well.

I imagine they'll save Jar Jar for the subscribers.

Hey, there's thirty covers - one of them has to be Jar Jar, I know we all make fun but he is a major character. Same as Wicket.

Kudos if they do a Biggs cover.

Well, we know that it covers at least the original trilogy with the Hoth version of Chewie, but maybe prequels.
Personally, I think it would be cool if there were all version's of Anakin / Vader(anakin kid; anakin adult; Vader in mask; Vader unmasked; Anakin in Spirit form).

My guesses anyway
Chewie, Han, Luke, Leia, Obi Wan (young and old), Yoda, C-3PO, R2-D2, Darth Vader and adult Anakin, Emperor Palpatine, Lando, Jabba, Boba Fett, Jango Fett, Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Qui-Gon, Mace Windu, Padme Amidala, Shimi Skywalker, "The binks thing" (ducks), General Grevious.

Random extra's: - Storm Troopers, Jawas, Ewoks, Battledroids, Other Jedi's (e.g. Kit-Fisto in his I am a cool Cthulhu type thingy way),.

And

please, please, please, please, please - The Millenium Falcon.

I remember when that cover came out and people wrote in to criticise Empire's art department for putting his lightsaber on wonky
