I was thinking I might see this if I have a couple of hours spare, thought it was going to be rubbish, but have read some OK reviews on it.  Anyone else have any comments on it??

Brilliant and well acted.  I loved this film, very sad though.  I thought that the real message of this movie was how sad and pathetic these kids lives were.  Their parents weren't exactly good examples.

Some good perfomances, particularly the actor who played the kidnap victim and the guy who played his brother.  Also a mention of Justin Timberlake's performance which i felt was pretty good .  He wasn't so good to begin with, but his performance really picked up towards the end.

A very cautionary tale indeed...

YEah, I'd agree with this. A very good film, and a surprisingly good turn from JT. Very sad story.

Lengthy and often off-hot topic, this is still a gripping saga with stand-out turns from Timberlake, Hirsch and kid-in-the-spotlight Yelchin.

Watched this the other day and enjoyed it. Good performances throughout and an interesting if sad story. Didn't know it was based on true events.

I think the ending killed this film. I agree that they'd be better to cut to the credits in the moments after the boys death.

It started off extremely slow but i am glad that i waited and continued to watch it. It was very interesting and sad and i agree with the statement about the bad ending, It went well up to the point of the boy being killed. A surprising performace from JT, corny but not bad.

Hats off to the reviewer, he's spot on with the comment about Sharon Stone in the fat suit, that was fricking comedy gold!! But as a film, it had some very silly moments (kung fu party scene, getting sacked!!), but in all enjoyable enough

Well acted, somewhat plodding. Timberlake is good as is Yelchin but it's hard to like the characters and to sympathize with anyone. Still, good movie.

Great film, well acted by the superb young cast, they are all excellent. The sense of dread prevailing throughtout the film is haunting and will remain with you for a while after the film ends.

The first half of the movie is quite enjoyable. Really quite intense. However, the second half of the film seems to amble along to a pretty lame conclusion.
There was no sense in what they did to the kidnapped kid. It was illogical. The best character was the victims brother but he seemed to just disappear towards the end. If I'd left the cinema after an hour I would've left wanting more. If I left when it finished I would have left disappointed. It just came up short in too many areas for me
