I'm rather excited for this. I hope more is focused on the murder mystery rather than shooting everything in sight.

So the pre-order stuff is simply DLC that's already made before the game's release but either not included on the disc or already on the disc but locked unless you have the key code.

I'm really looking forward to this game but I really hate how content is locked from games at release. If you buy a game you should have access to everything on that disc, not have to pay extra later on just to unlock it. BioShock 2 did this, where the 'DLC' was simply a 100kb unlock key to access content already on the disc. Meh.

I'm a bit less excited about this since I heard it's not going to be sandbox. I think I'll wait for the reviews to start coming in before I decide whether to buy it.

I thought it was a sandbox game. Where did you hear that it wasn't? To be honest I haven't been following it that much so I could well be wrong.

Cool. Thanks for the links. Sounds pretty great to me so I think I'll pre-order this.

This looks pretty good, although the whole is he lying or not feature looks crap. I was hoping for more of a GTA/RDR type of game and not CSI: Mad Men.

As of 30 seconds ago, so did I.
Naked City/Badge Finding bonus seemed the best of the bunch.

I'm not really up to date on forthcoming big releases, anyone know of the best gameplay footage trailers for this?

Is it bascially a GTA/Red Dead Demption stylee?

Apparently the Guardian reviewed it but then had to take the review down as it broke the review embargo. The same with another site. Both were hugely positive with the Guardian giving it 5/5 and the other site 10/10.

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/301213/la-noire-review-sneaks-out/

Not sure why good review getting out a bit early is a big deal but there we go.

Pre-ordered this over a month ago, sadly not getting The Naked City or the Badge collecting DLC. Instead getting 'A Slip of the Tongue' DLC plus the soundtrack to download

This was £32 on pre-order at Sainsburys but the code seems to have stopped working, does anyone know if there's a chance of this going cheap on release day like Black Ops and Fifa?

LA Confidential is my favourite film so i'm definitely looking forward to this, i don't know too much about the gameplay other than there's less sandbox style elements than GTA or Red Dead and it has Kenny Consgrove from Mad Men in it.

Embargo lifted and reviews are coming out, still really solid, some issues people had with the gameplay not being fluid in bringing each element together, and the game perhaps being a bit formulaic eventually, but mostly strong, excite!

2 days left! Feel like I've been waiting foe this forever. Websites' average user reviews aren't too high but I personally think that's because people have picked it up expecting a GTA game but you're the good guy. Personally I think the world has enough sandbox games. Great graphics, story and tone are what attracts me to this game. Solving murders in the 40s is pretty much my dream video game.

I just sent a game back to LoveFilm today so I would have another to play this weekend as I'd got the release date wrong - thought this wasn't out till next weekend! 2 days to go - bring it on!! Nice reviews, too.

Does anyone know of any launch day offers by the Supermarkets? I know it's unlikely as this probably won't have the 'rush out and buy it' factor of COD, Fifa, GTA etc, but, would be great if they do cos I have no games to trade in.

I only get the odd game, maybe 1 or 2 a year, and I've never gotten one on day of release before.  Until tomorrow, that is.  Dead excited.

I was gonna wait for a price drop to get this but I have Crysis 2 completed, gathering dust and along with the £10 on my GAME I will be getting my ass into Leeds tomorrow! Can't resist a bargain...

I'm gonna go with HMV's deal and get LA Confidential with it. I've got a few games to trade in (that comes to £48 according to the app) so will probably pick up another Blu-ray while I'm there.
