I admit I do prefer the shouty James Woods to the thoughtful Virgin Suicides James Woods, so I may tune in for this new courtroom drama, although if it's on Five I'm buggered.

Why are 'new' shows always set in courtrooms or police offices?

Woods carries it, everything else is numbingly bland. Justice was more fun, but no more.

It begins on Thursday 22 March at 10.00pm on Channel 5. I wonder how long it will be before Shark jumps the shark?

The first episode was good. I like the idea that James Wood's character has his own practice courtroom in his house. Definitely will be watching this Thursday on Five.

that was one of the things my housemate and i were making fun off earlier! pretty stupid, if you ask me.

i might watch it this week, and if it doesn't hold my attention then, i probably won't watch it again after that.

by the way, anyone know how many episodes this ran for? is it still going in america??

Wasn't too bad and will watch it for another week or two just because of James Woods. Its still running in America at the moment i think they are on episode 18 of 20. Not sure whether it has been picked up for next season or not

I quite liked it, but I am a sucker for anything courtroom-based. Woods was good.

I liked it but as pointed out earleir Woods was deffinatley the star, he pretty much carried the rest. I'm looking forward to see how the series pans out.

Solid if unspectacular 2nd episode last night. I think the supporting cast really needs to be developed in order for the show to survive long-term.

I really liked it and loved the line-

"I'm speaking from the heart here so listen. It's good to loose every once in a while, it keeps you grounded... so I've heard."

The first two episodes have been solid, not groundbreaking but I'll keep with it and Wood is excellent.

It hasn't really caught me.  I have watched a few of them but can barely remember them.  Very generic in structure with only Woods really standing out.

And the theme song is another generic soft rock anthem that has been done with loads of shows such as Enterprise, Joey, etc.

Woods is fantastic, and I'm enjoying the relationship betwene him and his daughter more than I thought I would. He has some great scene with Jeri Ryan as well. It's just his team that are a let-down.

It really was a good episode to round off a really good first season. I hope that the second season will be back on five soon.

I think the last episode would have worked better without the twist that Shark was setting him up. Good series though, and I'm looking forward to series 2.

Being fully aware of Mr. Woods penchant for teenage girls I have a tough time watching him with his daughter. I do agree though that there have been some nice exchanges with Jeri Ryan. And that his young legal team is sorely lacking in the actng department.

It's not one of Five's star imports, but Shark has its slick charm. It's as cheesy as James Woods's grin, but who cares when it barrels along so enjoyably? Series two begins with a bang, though not even a bomb exploding can stem the flow of wisecracks from Sebastian Stark - the LA prosecutor whose methods are so ugly he gets only the most beautiful lawyers to work for him. Tonight's story unfolds as a macho contest between Stark's team of feisty fashion models and the Russian mob. Look out for the wonderfully nasty Russian mafia boss who sits in his art gallery drinking espresso from a silver cup, mocking the police. If you judge a series by its baddies, he's a winner.

I wanna see James Woods in a Richard Boyle (Salvador) TV series, a washed up photo-journalist going on crazy adventures with his drugged up side-kick.

I tuned in late and missed the money shot at the start
Was a good start to the new season, season 1 was a slow burner too wasn't it?
The bit at the chess table was a shock.
I did want Voosloo to break into his Afrikkans accent ala Hard Target and go shooting!

Not a bad start to the series, and it's good to see Kevin Pollak as D.A. Cutler. I can imagine him clashing with Shark quite a bit this year.
