Right, I've just been watching this and I think it's alright. I mainly watched it because of the great Danny Wallace who's presenting it. Anyone else watching it?

It seems a bit liked shipwrecked to me already.

The last one whihc was in Scotland, had more people didn't it? And seemed just more real somehow.

The scottish bloke, is already beginning to annoy me.

I read in the paper, that the whole thing is a farce, as the nearest cafe is half an hour away.

This one only lasts 3 months, rather than a whole year (like last time).

Like I said, stick with Shipwrecked instead .

yay that Danny Wallace is getting some well deserved recognition even if it is a bit of a wet squib...

Watched the opening episode on Friday. It was ok but knowhere near as good as the original show (I'm sure they were away for 1 year?) Sorry but to me it looks like it's gonna be another version of Big Brother but on an island. Reality TV has just lost it's edge as everyone goes in there with a pre-concieved idea of how to behave and what makes good TV viewing!
I'm afraid I won't be watching anymore episodes

Well they've taken a show that had a credible social study side to it - a higher brow reality show, and basically completely changed it into a shallow typical reality tv show. It bears no resemblance to the original.

The original worked so well cos there was no outside influence, just a bunch of people trying to create their own village etc. This new version, however, has the presenter going into camp to resolve the answers to questions they'll be posed each week! hmmm...

Watched about 20 mins with the missus and then we turned over - thank god.
