Added Belgian site Mediadis.com - I came across the site when searching for someone in another thread.

Like the other Belgian site listed, Total Solutions Company, the site is in English, and ships internationally.
However, Mediadis appears to have much more stock, and the website is friendlier.

I've now had 2 prompt and successful transactions with K2DVD. To add to their statement that they are nothing to do with DVDFromKorea, their packaging and shipping procedures also seem different.

Thanks, elab - good to know there's a decent DVD store in S. Korea.

Updates:

4CheapCDs - Their CD section is back up, but DVD section still offline, amended note.
BangCD - They now sell R1 and R3 DVDs as well as R2, so moved to the Various Regions section.
Fnac (France) - They now sell R1s as well as R2s, so moved to the Various Regions section.
Proxis (Netherlands) - Their site is now in English, so amended.

And...
I've started going through the sites to check for international shipping. This is fun () because I have to sit with a translator and search each site in turn looking for the shipping info. That'll teach me to use unchecked sources for some of the original info, I guess.
Anyway, the following have been cut from the post 1 in this thread:

FilmiFriikki (Finland) - http://www.filmifriikki.fi/~5Cd7x0000001/?Y999=MAI (site in Finnish) - they only ship domestically
Skifan.is (Iceland) - http://www.skifan.is/Skifan/ (site in Icelandic) - they appear to only ship domestically
DVD Outlet (Netherlands) - http://www.dvdoutlet.nl/cgi-bin/web_store/web_store.cgi (site in Dutch) - only ship to Netherlands and Belgium
DiscShop.se (Sweden) - http://www.discshop.se/shop/index.php (site in Swedish) - only ship domestically
DVD-Shop (Switzerland) - http://www.dvd-shop.ch/ (site in Swiss) - only ship to Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Leichenstein
SwedDisc (R1, Sweden) - http://www.swedisc.com/ (site paritally in English, T&Cs etc in Swedish) - Only ship to Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Japan

Oh, forgot about Cultura.com (France) - They ship to various European countries including Ireland, but not UK. I guess I'll leave this in the list for the benfit of any Irish forum members who may want to buy DVDs from France...

More updates... I've cut these from post 1:

CDPlus (Canada / R1) - http://www.cdplus.com/ - only ship to Canada & USA
DVDMas (Mexico): http://www.dvdmas.com/tiendaenlinea/ (site in Spanish) - only shop domestically
Boomerang (Thailand): http://www.boomerangshop.com/web/ - couldn't locate shipping info, but when attempting to set up an account, the only option in the country box was Thailand.
Anime Jungle (Japan) - anime dvds only: http://jungle-scs.co.jp/en/ - I hadn't realised initially, the dvds they sell are pre-owned

All sites now listed in post 1 provide international shipping including to the UK (except for Cultura.com: see post above this one).

They don't sell any DVDs though, just BD. They were the only Austria-based site I could find that a) weren't "specialist"; and b) shipped internationally.

Also the amazon marketplace seller caiman is also fantastic - very quick delivery from US, and rock bottom prices - I buy most of my Criterion DVDs from them.

Further to this post from BizarreEye -
I also highly recommend caiman.  They do have their own website as well - www.caimanzone.co.uk - where you can order direct, as well as via amazon marketplace.  They sell region 1 dvds at good prices.  Also, although they say they ship from the US, all the orders I've had so far have been shipped from within the UK, so no customs charges problems.  I'm currently ordering most of my region 1 dvds from them.

Caiman - who I also use a lot - have 2 IDs on Amazon. One is from the US, but the other seems to ship from the UK, so I presume they bulk ship over some popular stuff to be sent on from here. Perhaps it saves on costs given they only get the UK shipping rate when we order from .co.uk?

Has anyone shopped from morediscs.com?

They have some really randomly cheap discs on there for 99p (although you have to pay P&P).

Had a look through the thread but couldnt see anything mentioning them. Apologies if I missed anything already posted on the subject. Thanks

Looks like an Ebay powerseller with their own website - so I'd check their fb on Ebay first. Which actually looks pretty reasonable for a power seller. Also an Amazon seller.

Yeah, I've used them once. And elab's absolutely right, they are an eBay / Amazon seller, hence their absence from the list on page one.

I had a pretty good experience buying from them, but I'd add a small word of caution - you pay a delivery fee per item rather than on the total order - just over a quid per dvd. So for all they say 99p, they'll actually cost you just over 2.00 each.

They sell stuff other than dvds, but that link is for the dvd page. Figured it'd be useful to have an alternative to Amazon.de for price comparison purposes, and they do ship interntationally.

Haven't used them, no, but had a quick look at the site and there's a couple of things to note:

1) They're based in the US and there is an option to display the site in English as well as Russian.
2) There is an option to just display dvds that have English subtitles. There's currently 555 films with them, but many more without.

Will add the site to the post 1 tomorrow...

I meant to link to the English version but it must have stayed at the DVD I was looking at. The shipping charge outside the US also looks fairly nominal.

The link doesn't change when you change the language. Guess Russian is just the default.

Has anyone else had an e-mail saying Ezydvd have been taken over? They want me to cancel and reorder a pending order (no links in the e-mail just a request to go to your account). Problem is Paypal say I've sent it but it is showing as pending - so I'm guessing they've not accepted it. Which leaves me kind of in limbo.

And worried about new owners at a reliable site.

I've never used EzyDVD, but I see they went into receivership at the end of 2008. Don't know who the new owners are either, I'm afraid. Check with PayPal to see if they can get the payment back / reimburse your account.

Whilst we're on about new ownership, I received an email from Zavvi saying they're now trading online again. However, they're now owned by The Hut Group, presumably the same company as The Hut. Didn't think they were big enough for such a takeover, but fair play to 'em. I've always liked The Hut cos they're often cheap and often do vouchers.

I couldn't but they've gone into it and cancelled it, thankfully.

I hadn't seen Ezy had gone into receivership. It has always been the main Australian site I've used, very reliable. Fingers crossed the new owners keep that up.

The new owners of EzyDVD online and 25 stores are Franchise Entertainment Group. They run Blockbuster and Video Ezy in Oz and Asia.

That sounds relatively reliable. Still - next order will start small to see how it goes. They still accept paypal which is something.

I think I've pimped AroVideo (www.arovideo.co.nz) enough in the Lists and Top 10s subforum for it to be considered rated. I've hired films from them twice (one a group of five, the other a group of three) and bought from them once (All The President's Men, 2-Disc), and they've always been prompt with both delivery and invoices. They charge in NZ$, and they mostly deal with R4 DVDs, but they'll usually tell you which version of a DVD you're buying. Also, they appear to do international transactions, and their deals are good on obscure films, especially if you're a member.

Consider AroVideo recommended.

Moved K2DVD up into Recommended territory as by now I've seen three or four people extolling their virtues.

Added a note that DVDSLimited (UK) are not currently trading.

It occurred to me I should mention Tulumba.com - it ships Turkish goods from the US. I've not used them for DVDs till now but have bought CDs from them without a problem - Mor ve Otesi, great group!. But as they have a new release of Ceylan's Three Monkeys with Eng subs I thought I'd give their DVD service a go as well.

They are based in New York I think - take Paypal and Amazon payments.

Further to elab49's post, the DVD page for Tulumba.com is at http://www.tulumba.com/storeItems.asp?tag=250.

They don't specify the region on many of the dvd pages, but a couple note that they are R2, and the Help pages state that their dvds are R2 PAL

I don't know if I should add them to the first post, as they only have a stock of 48 different DVDs, which is rather minimal, and with all the other stuff they sell, they're not really a DVD store...

Not a DVD store, no - but they have several hundred DVDs with a significant percent (I stopped over 100) with Eng subs. They've also got a lot more in the kids store (aparently they count the bland cast of HSM in the animated section ). They should be most all R2 as they come from Turkey, although their warning does only say 'most' - I haven't seen anything that isn't. Maybe they mean the VCDs?
