The Audi advert with the Strauss song 'Open road, open sky' - it just gives you a lift whenever you hear it :)

Saw the new VW advert yesterday, very well put together and a nice marketing touch to release it around Father's Day too.

Good ad, a bit sugary, but its not like it's so sweet I'll get diabetes from it

I may well get shot down, but I think the plusnet ads are consistently good, not groundbreaking, but good standard ads.

That and they've got a brass band that does cover songs, one of my favourite things in the world

This advert is getting a bit of stick at the mo from music websites/hipsters because of how blatantly the accompanying song rips off the song Take Care by Beach House (which they tried to get the band to license to them half a dozen times before giving up and commissioning the sound-alike). Ad agencies that do that piss me right off. The band, of course, probably can't afford to take them to court, so VW just gets away with it.

Yeah, I saw some of the comments saying the same sort of thing. As someone who has never heard of Beach House before, I would have thought it good for them to licence it and get their name out there. Unless they have a particular problem with VW as a company, the money wasn't great or they are just one of those bands that want to remain niche.

EDIT: After listening to that Beach House song I think the ad agency's version is much better.

EDIT 2: That's not to say I condone the agency's actions, as it is a rip-off, I just prefer their version.

I just came on here to say I love this advert. The simplicity of it is very effective, and as a daddy's girl myself, I can recognise all the scenes as being from various stages of my life. (Asides from getting a car!)

That moneysupermarket one, with the Magnum P.I. theme, just the things the guy does in it make me laugh. That plus the awesome theme.

I love, LOVE the Cheesestring one where he's in the car with the "cheese cheese" song playing.

The main reason I love it is I always think of the poor sod(s) who have to sing it in the studio... they must either piss themselves laughing or regret their career decision.

DFS that's it. I saw that the other night and I was gonna post the same thing here, but for the life of me I couldn't remember what the ad was for (obviously not good at getting the brand across ). Very powerful ad, but for a furniture company?! Originally I thought it was some sort of shoe company with every other shot being his shoes

The cinema-only advert that Irish soft-drinks manufacturer Club has created for its orange drink is, ahem, quite enjoyable, in a Carry-On Juicing kind of way

Admittedly i have only seen it twice so I may grow to hate it with a passion but the Costa Coffee advert where people appear to be up to their neck in coffee beans whilst performing a musical soft rock number is quite enjoyable.

The new ad for the new EE network with Kevin Bacon!

Mr Bacon is one of my favourite actors, but this new ad... I may now have to start a cult around this man.

'That's the way Bacon rolls...'

Fucking awesome.

They're bloody brilliant. Just as I was starting to get a bit bored of that particular one, another two or three seem to have appeared as well. Loved it when he's walking past the footy pitches and hoofs the ball with a very English-sounding "Ave it!!". The man's a fucking legend, though I can't help wondering if he understood a single line he had to deliver

I like the latest Cravendale one simply for the voiceover saying "Not on my watch, pussies!" at the end

I also like the various Google adverts that show people telling little stories through Gmail and such. The one with the bloke trying to get his ex back is pretty cute.

The one where he is in the chip shop going on about Carole Vordermans 'arris, made laugh.

Oh and that Warburtons/Kingsmill fruit loaf advert, for a couple of reasons

The Barclays one with the dad and his needy daughter makes me chuckle, specifically at the end when he's laughing in his sports car and his now grown up daughter has a needy kid of her own.

Never ever thought I'd post in here... I quite like some of the adverts that are on at the moment selling an idea associated with the product, rather than the product itself.

So, ambrosia custard sells the concept of "pudding". As someone who much prefers the use of proper English words like pudding, rather than dessert, I heartily approve. (My poncy restaurant test is whether they serve "custard" or "creme Anglaise"....) I digress. It's the advert that talks of pudding as an institution, as having, and this is my favourite line, "paused a million video games". Because, god, wasn't that true? As a kid, you'd be playing in your room, your mum would should "PUDDING", and you'd pause the game and come screaming down the stairs? I like that advert.

There's another one that has a similar feel to it, but, ironically, I forget what it is advertising...
