The new one is exceptionally good, watched it about five times and its entertaining, full of fun, has a great chemistry between the characters (which is important and failed in several of the series that game out), excellently handled by the director and has a great soundtrack which most of the films have too. I would say the new one is probably my favourite currently since it has rebooted the franchise and got me hooked back into it all again (even going through rewatching the Original Series again which is great!). I do however like a fair few of them for different ways; Khan is a brilliant game-of-wits cum shootout and a heart-rendering ending (Amazing Grace on the Pipes gets me going every time!), Contact zips along at a cracking pace, Undiscovered Country had some brilliant bits in it and an excellent story; Search for Spock had the best soundtrack by miles (though was one of the weaker films) and the Motion Picture has a truely epic feel about it even though it does look a bit dated. Theres much to enjoy in all the films with exception of Insurrection which I couldnt get into despite it having the brilliant F. Murray Abraham in it. These are always worth a rewatch every few years, like the LOTR trilogy, or Star Wars films.
