Fridays night's was the first episode I've seen and I thought it was ace. I love Ethan Suplee, he should be in every TV show.

This has got to be the funniest thing on TV.

It gets better every week.  I even sat through Smokey and the Bandit last weekend, purely because of last weeks MNIE episode.

This weeks was genius, when Crabman goes into the childrens play area...

Bump.
I caught the rpeat on E4 of the one where Earl tries to make up for ruiing Joys christmas. Some killer lines such as "I found out that if you want to make your bike fly, you better have ET in the front basket".

Are people still watching this? It just gets better and better. Last weeks episode about the hotdog stall was hilarious, and the one featuring Jon Favreau as the restaurant manager was probably the best so far.

Highly amusing although it's usually Randy who I find funniest...... purely for his dim-witted-ness

Randy often has me in stiches. I loved this line of his from an earlier episode.

I have missed loads of episodes, cos for some reason I thougyht it was only gonna be a 6 week run. (like UK sitcoms) Dammit!
Caught most of last nights though, it is truly nuts!
Im glad its taken about 10 years for Jason Lee to work his way up, cos if he'd hit big after Mallrats we'd have all been sick of him by now, but his slow burner of a career has made this show, and him, all the more watchable.

I found this show funny at first, but for some reason it grew really old really quickly for me. I think it's just the gimmick cos all the actors are really good. I really hated the episode that where earl had to take this old guy to his mail box every morning and then go pick up donuts, and old lady and go to a prison, but he kept arriving too late, so half the episode was just him repeating these things.

I think this show took a mid-season dip. I was really enjoying it, but it seems that a few episodes ago the quality became a litle strained. Still good but not as good as the first bunch of episodes. I thought last nights was pretty poor. I know the humor is quirky but the whole concept of them living in a department store b/c they thought the world had ended was just not a good one, IMO.

I think this just gets better and better. I've yet to be disappointed by an episode and I haven't laughed to much as a TV show since the last series of Scrubs. I love the fact that it's never just a simple case of returning an item or apologising, but every item on the list ends up being a much bigger task than it should be.

The episode last night was great. Completely absurb but, considering the characters, believable at the same time.

I've been meaning to watch this show as I'm a fan of Jason Lee, but I'm always away when it's on. I take it this show is highly recommended by everyone in this thread?

(I've only seen one episode, where he and another woman had allergic reactions, that was cool )

Friday's was another funny episode (though there have been a few not-so-funny ones)...... Genius idea using Y2K.......

i just tried to start a new thread on M.N.I.E, but was directed to this old one instead.
The dark claw of the Moderators leaves a invisible scar.

I'm really glad people are into the show, i hope it dosent get cancelled like Arrested developement ("Bring it back")

i really got the feeling the humour in M.N.I.Earl is mostly character based and not comedy writers putting funny lines in the characters mouths.

Its taken a while but finally the second series of My Name is Earl makes its way to Channel Four this week. Apparently the second series is meant to be better than the first and Burt Reynolds makes an appearance in the second episode of the series as the owner of Club Chubby. Should be good!!

Seems like there are a fair few big name guest stars in this series including Sean Astin, Christian Slater, John Waters, John Leguizamo and Roseanne (do you reckon it will be hard for her to play trailer trash again!!!)

Juliette Lewis as well...read an interesting article at the weekend that says the majority actors including the guest stars were all Scientologists

I've seen most of it, and it does start a little...well, weak.   I advise you to stick with it, though..  The first few episodes aren't great, really, but it very quickly recovers.   Just some pre-show advice.

Earl, Randy, I think Joy, the dude that writes it, Juliette Lewis (who was in the first series), Giovanni Ribisi, and many more are all raving nutters...

It's a shame, esp. in Jason Lee's case, because it is a good show, but I can't help but be slightly wary of it once you've made that connection...

Well, if it is about Scientology, it's pretty well hidden.  As long as it doesn't hit the main thrust of the show, I'm fine.
