I like the Catalina character too... not quite a love interest (although Earls' brother has "Dibs" on her), not quite the straight woman, and not quite comic relief. And as for the actress herself: [Quagmire]Giggity Giggity Giggity! [/Quagmire]

Aaaaaaan on that note:

Anyone else get caught out by Celebrity Big Brother and My Name is Earl being moved around so that they ended up missing it and swearing at Davina McCall as a result?

Oh my giddy aunt, she is dam fine. Last episode was highly improved due to her appearance in a Bikini.

The Mrs likes the programme as well, so it's all good!

I just caught up with the first four episodes of this last night - it's absolutely fantastic! The Coen brothers parallel is spot on. I watched it in a 2 hour marathon though. Does it stand up to single installment viewing as well, or is it better to save up a few?

You really can't beat American TV these days, it's often so much better than cinematic releases.

I really enjoyed tonight's show, what with Giovanni Ribisi in it - I loved it when he dressed up as Earrrrl and went to try and rob his safety deposit box.

Another good episode, it is strangely compelling, mainly as i just can't help but like all the characters. Only 5 episodes in and its done that, tis quite impressive.

Not quite as good Arrested Development or Curb your Enthusiasm but very diverting indeed.  I'm not enamoured yet but I'll keep watching.  Ribisi was great last night.

It's been a great show, it has a wonderful quirky feel to it, I liked the one on Friday!! Especially with the Indian Shopkeeper...

Between this and 24 starting next week I have two great shows to look forward to. As peole mentioned this show has got a heart (like scrubs in a way) and has some killer lines. The episode with Giovani Ribissi was funny, when randy asks Earlt o call karma, Earl replies "Its Karma not lassie".  Last nights episode with the ex girlfrined who he faked his death to break up with was deadly, Randys line "Its just like in ET when the little girl saw the monkey for the first time", was hilarious.

Little do they know that when they stop helping he has a complete meltdown and cant understand how hes lost his game.Eventualy he ends up living in his car!haha its super!

I would call that a 'spoiler' dude.  Please don't do that again, I really like My Name Is Earl and would like to enjoy the storylines when I watch it on TV and not from here. And I'm sure everyone else would as well.

Yeah I'd agree that Jackasskid should have put a spoiler warning.

Didn't really bother me though, and neither do most comedy show spoilers unless they're giving away the actual jokes. It's not normally like the story line is all that important to comedy shows like it would be in a drama. But that's just me and I can see why it would bother some people.

It doesnt matter if the storyline matters or not!! It clearly put in the thread at the top of the forum that of there are any spoilers they should be pointed out...I was innocently reading the thread when I learnt about an episode that I havent seen and that has now, effectively, ruined it for me because i know what to expect.

The Golf episode this week was particularly awesome. My Name Is Earl is definitely proving to be one of the best shows to come out of America in recent times.

How many episodes are going to be in the season?

I'm still enjoying it, but I can't say I get excited by it every week. But when I watch it, I usually really enjoy it. Weird.

I love it, and do look forward to it every Friday. It makes me forget that I have work on a Saturday morning...wait, that's this morning. Oh Goddammit!

Last night's episode was fantastic, I thought. Each one is rounded up nicely at the end with a nice little morale message, yet without being cheesy. Great show.

Last night episode was so funny about the golf. With Earl catching the ball and throwing it further up the course.

This was my favourite episode so far

I'm really enjoying this show. It's damn funny and shows a lot of warmth without being overtly schmaltzy. Jason Lee shows real star quality that bizarrely has not yet made him a star and Ethan Suplee plays his part brilliantly. His performance pitching Randy as someone just ever-so-slightly behind the rest of us, raher than the cliched retard, that he might otherwise have been.  And as others have already noted Nadine Velasquez is seriously hot.

Loved the Smokey and the Bandit style out-takes on the credits last night.

This is easily the funniest thing on the box at the moment. Loved last nights episode and the attempted serenade on the front lawn of the ex-girlfriends house had me crying with laughter.
