Just ordered my 17th Statue. I just couldn't say no to this one though, it's one of the best i've seen and I've been waiting ages for it to be released.

Issues 13-18 of Animal Man new 52.

I started getting that and batman but stopped after 12 issues as I was annoyed at the crossovers and price hikes, as well as those #0 issues. But after re reading through AM again, I decided I wanted to catch up. Managed to get these for approx 2 each. I know it's probably cheaper to get them in volumes, but continuity and that.

Just ordered the second HOTD full colour hardback edition. Only three volumes in this one as opposed to the first volume containing four and at the same price but these are great to own

Grandville is great fun. It is a little the case of diminishing returns on the follow up books but they are still worth a look. I have dabbled with Grendel but it never really struck with me. You will have to let me know what your opinion of it is?

I had to give up on Morning Glories recently. I just couldn't follow what was happening anymore

It seems to be more suited to reading in trades.

Yeah I gave up on it around August last year as well. It doesn't really work as a monthly title IMO. Especially if you've got the storylines of around 18 other titles swimming around in your head.

I've got a ridiculous backlog, probably about 3 months worth of stuff to get through. I went a good couple of months during the tail end of the summer to early autumn where I just didn't have time to read anything and since then I've been trying to chip away at the pile (metaphorically speaking, most of my monthly titles are digital) but if anything it's gotten bigger. I don't think I've read anything released post October. I've got some time off coming up in a few weeks so I'll try and tackle it then.

Managed to pick that little lot for 9 - when I checked with people in the know the full collection is worth about 60 so I was proud of that.

Also got the following Graphic Novels:

And on the Morning Glories subject I do feel they read better as graphic novels than a monthly series, although I do have to reread all the previous volumes before I read any new ones

See what you guys mean about not being able to read this in monthly issues, there's A LOT going on, finding it hard to keep track of everything.

Been in hospital recently so been buying quite a few trades, thought I'd try my hand at some Wonder Woman as I love the character but never really read any of her stuff.

A very impressive start but there is a terrible sense of foreboding whilst reading it in that you care for these dogs very quickly and I get the impression something nasty is just around the corner.

Just picked these two up. Actually the second one was a gift off the missus. Already own all the issues but nice to have the trade for reading rather than having to drag all the comics out of their box. Fables i have decided to get into after playing the awesome prequel game, The Wolf Among Us.

I just bought 2000AD progs 1833 -1861 and the year end Prog 2014 from their online store! Turns out the comic store at the end of my road does, in fact, get 2000AD (the only place in Toronto I've seen it!). They get monthly packs so I bought the latest one that had Progs 1862 to 1866, the first five progs of 2014. So now I've gotta play catch up. Can't wait till they arrive, I've been missing my fix of Thrill Power.

Ordered the third HC Edition which i'm making my way through during lunch breaks. Just as good as I remembered it being the first time around!

Edit: Also just purchased the below as it seemed to be good value for a Marvel Hardcover (248 Pages for just under 15) and I've been interested in the title since it was announced but always been a bit of of touch with Marvel since the 90's!

Just had a bit of a splurge on Amazon....

Still waiting for the first volume but I know I'll like it so I ordered the second over-sized HC:

Ordered this in over-sized HC containing the first 11 Issues as I know a lot of users on this forum have raved about it:

Ordered the next TWD Volume just so I'm ready to continue as Number 3 arrived today:

And I ordered this 3 volume HC on a punt:

I do wish Marvel would release more 12 Issue Hardcover format graphic novels. I don't buy into single issues, 6 Issue Trades or their 6 Issue HC Trades which usually cost just as much as a 12 issue format. It's also the best way to own a series in my opinion.
