I got myself the tpb's of

Flash:Reborn by Geoff Johns (Heard good things about it)
Green Lantern/Green Arrow by Dennis O'Neil and Neal Adams (it's meant to be a classic story run)
Haunted Knight by Loeb and Sale (already had The Long Halloween and Dark Victory so finished of the set)

I just finished Unnatural Habitats yesterday, it's an amazing series and up there with the very best of Lemire's work IMO. Did you get round to buying Essex County btw?

I haven't posted much in here recently because all I've been buying are trades of the monthlies I've been reading anyway eg volume 2 of both Snyder's Swamp Thing and Lemire's Animal Man as well as Hawkeye: My Life As a Weapon and the last 2 Marvel Graphic Novel Collection titles.

Iíve not purchased it yet but I will be before the end of the year.

Sooo Iím thinking about starting Fables once Iíve finished Sweet Tooth. Iím a little behind ten years or so and I just wanted to ask if it was worth the effort, time and money? I saw the announcement of a director for a film version (surely TV would be best?) and it got me interested in reading the series.

It is a good series (from the writer and artist of Ironwood ) which is still providing interesting and entertaining storylines even so long after it first started.

I now have all the tpbs since the recommendation - how many pages back?

It got more habit and a reasonable read at times - the only TPB I didn't get was the Jack one because the entire world simply isn't as enamoured of him as the writers are. It's like the Riley of the Fables world. Not sure about a film. It has the sad problem of coming along after everything else that ripped it off.

I haven't bought it yet as preorder doesn't appear to start until July 1st and I already own the old Titan print graphic novels but I think I may have found my next big purchase. I get the impression it may cost a bomb though, being limited to a run of 1000.

It's £100. Pretty hefty alright. Think I'll wait and see how this goes; if no legal troubles arise there should be a more affordable print happening one day.

I must admit I thought it was going to be in the £250 level.

I'd be interested in reading your thoughts on this one, Sanchia. It's gotten some amazing reviews over the last year but it was pretty forgettable to me (and had some fairly static, stodgy art)

I must admit i am buying it from the reviews and have read one issue (which made no sense to me at all) so hoping it is a little more lucid from the start.

I would not bother buying Pacific Rim. It's like a poor trailer and a bad advert for the film.
