Oh and I also bought this beauty a couple of weeks ago. Samsung Nexus 10. The photos taken by my phone really don't do this justice! I'll post a little bit more about it in the tablet thread when I get a chance.

Great stuff, furry! Did you by any chance get that Marshal Law copy via the great Amazon price cock-up? I was just one click away from ordering it when it came to my attention but for some silly reason didn't, now i'm kicking myself! I' m staying away from 'that' thread over at 2000ad online because all it does is make me green with envy!

Well done on your purchase of the tablet, it's a beaut.

Nope I bought it in my regular bookshop here. I haven't bought a comic off Amazon in years.

Buying the tablet doesn't seem to have slowed down my buying of print so far but we'll see if that changes over the next few months. It's definately more spacious to read comics digitally

I've just put a pre order in for this one. Although the postage is a killer on it (almost twice the price of the book )

I doubt i'll ever get weary of printed comics! It's just that feeling of being that much closer to the artwork, and digital comics cannot give you the joy you feel when you have a great title in your hands for the first time.....and call me mad but i'm addicted to the 'fresh off the press' smell of the pages!

Ha maybe we should start a Best Smelling Comic thread! I've always liked those Judge Dredd Case Files for that!

I don't think I'll ever go off print either, to be honest. Saying that, some of the comics on this tablet actually have more vivid colours than the real thing and the artwork actually looks better. I'll try and do a compare/contrast post if I have the time.

Lol! That sounds like a great idea! You're right about the Case File too......mouthwatering stuff!

Regarding the tablet and print difference, i totally agree with that, especially when some titles are printed on poor paper quality like they did for Sweet Tooth, Hellblazer and Y tpb's (Vertigo seem to be more inclined to print on crap quality paper, lessening the visual quality of the artwork). I can see how a title like the ones i've mentioned would look so much better digitally. It would do the art more justice too, but having said that, like you i also doubt i'll ever stop buying the printed stuff.

I wonder what happened about the much mooted film?

Also why do little pictures suddenly get bigger?

That looks really interesting, Sanchia! I'm a big fan of Top Shelf and their published works; they also have the most beautiful covers even for the soft back with all the french flaps and what not. Let us know how your reading goes, if it sounds good then i might add ir to my shopping list too.

Just be prepared for a $28 shipping fee.

http://www.topshelfcomix.com/catalog/monster-on-the-hill/732

There is a preview of a few pages on the above which looks quite good and I know I enjoyed Rob Harrell's newspaper strip Big Top, so here's hoping it is worth the price (although in July i will be awaiting the sting of customs charges as well).

I got Rebirth on my Kindle, whilst I appreciate its cheaper - give me the book in my hand instead of a file on my screen any day.

Does anyone know when the 2nd issue of Private Eye (from The Panell Syndicate) will be going up?

It's supposed to be monthly, though they were pretty loose in saying whether it would be every four weeks or just one issue a month. Either way I'm surprised not to see it yet. Hopefully in the next week, as the first issue came out around March 20th.

I'm on my kindle so not sure how to copy the urls for the pictures, but managed to get all the Vertigo Death comic books that Neil Gaiman wrote off of eBay for just shy of 7 quid, am quite chuffed to get them so cheaply considering they're 1st prints and graded as Near Mint too.

It is quite a good issue. Hopefully not too many people will take the Mickey and pay nothing so that the story continues.

I picked up the first two on the cheap and was genuinely surprised how much I enjoyed them.
