Just ordered Volume 2 of the Knightquest collected editions. There doesn't seem to be any decent cover artwork available for it at the moment.

Why does that stance appear to make Azreal/Batman look like he was appearing on a gay porn dvd cover? I think it is his hands.

And why is the DC logo different on it to Vol 1?

They'd better fucking line up

They line up perfectly except for the logo at the bottom which is barely noticeable as the rest of the dress on the spines is all so massive. I can upload a picture if you want?

That'd be great if it's not too much trouble.

Can't understand them using a different logo myself, it's not like there's a massive gap between their releases or anything. Bizarre.

Had an email of Amazon today stating they haven't received this yet and I'll be waiting at least another fortnight for it. Play are still showing it as due for release on 29th May.

WTF??

I read that volume, it's a pretty neat little old-skool adventure/sci-fi story. I didn't realize at the time that this was the second series

There is a distinct late 60's early 70's feel to it.

Not in stock at Book Depository at the moment.

I can't understand the amazon thing though. It's not that they didn't have enough, the email they sent me stated that they still haven't received any copies and aren't likely to do so till next week. Strange.

I'll wait till either Play or Amazon have got it in stock.

I have experienced that before with The Starman Omnibus. I pre-ordered well in advance (a couple of months) just to receive an email a few days prior to release to tell me the item was no longer available. I then purchased it from Book Depository for a cheaper price.

Thinking about it I have had a couple more similar incidents with Amazon.

I agree. There's this sort of timeless quality to it that I find very appealing - almost dreamlike! I've really enjoyed them.

It is! Its so much better if you read it from the begining in order. You understand more about the characters. It is afterall, the human interractions which makes it so enjoyable.

The reading order is;

Aldebaran Vol 1 (consisting of two parts): The Catastrophe (includes The Blonde)
Aldebaran Vol 2 (two parts) The Group (inc. The Photo)
Aldebaran Vol 3 (two parts) The Creature (inc. 1st part of Betelgeuse; The Betelgeuse Planet)
Betelgeuse Vol 1 (two parts) The Survivors (inc. The Expedition)
Betelgeuse Vol 2 The Caves (only one part)
Betelgeuse Vol 3; The Other (final part of Betelgeuse saga)

It can be a little confusing, esp as the publishers have included both the ending of Aldebaran and begining of Betelgeuse in one volume! (Vol 3; The Creature), but its well worth it!

I moved to Toronto recently and they have a lot of great second hand bookstores, some of which have very healthy comics sections! Picked up all these cheap and in great condition...

Whatever Happened to the World of Tomorrow

Channel Zero Vol. 1 (got home and saw they were releasing the whole thing in one volume next week - d'oh!)

Batman and the Monster Men

Superman: The Man of Steel Vol. 1

Had the above delivered today. I have to say that Amazon have one of the fastest delivery services! Posted on the 25th, delivered on the 27th, and it was normal delivery option! All my purchases from them thus far has been before expected delivery date.

Anyway, looking forward to the read....as soon as my kids calm down!

A used one went up on Amazon bringing the price just under 15 - had to grab it.

Then I spotted Volume 5 on sale by the same person for under 15....

...then even worse there was a copy of Volume 6 for around 12.50

just need the latest volume now, but the prices are around 18-20....i'll wait a bit.

out of print and very rare. It's been at 70-100 anywhere for around 6 months with no change, so when a copy went on for 23 on Amazon I had to grab it. I hate paying this much for a single volume of manga, but it's out of print, the publisher has gone bust and I can always sell it on for 50+ if I like.

Animal man Annual. Don't usually buy Annuals but this seemed to have a nice little bit of a back story into the Rot storyline going on over in the regular comic even though apart from 1 panel Buddy's not in it at all, nice story & a visit from old Swampy just about justifies the $4.99 price.

God knows how long i've been waiting to buy/read this comic here! Every time I go online its sold out! So as soon as I heard it was going to released as part of The Marvel Graphic Novel collection i've been counting the days when I can finally get my hands on it - and I have, and I cannot wait to get started!
