ORIGINAL: BigKovacs Started so well and trundled down a steady gradient to a ropey plot, disjointed time lines. Also the suit got some weird make over on the face which made it look like a kids toy rather than a war machine. A real shame. I didn't like that either. Found it interesting at first, but it became a mess. The storytelling was rather sloppy, and that blue stuff he's permanently coated with just didn't sit well with the rest of the universe. Too "sci-fi-ish". *****SPOLIERS FOR ULTIMATE IRONMAN*************SPOLIERS FOR ULTIMATE IRONMAN******** Yeah, the blue stuff and his 'inherited' powers had no place in the story whatsoever and no consequences later on, also Starks freindship with Rhodes starts off okay but trails off sharpish and goes nowhere. I couldnt understand Stark Snr being so forgiving of his ex-wife and sending his step-son to the Academy, even for a comic that was a ridiculous plot turn! As or the art, it was generally excellent but very gradually went down hill but what was with the giant Iron-man suit at the end? In the first frame it was 40ft tall, when Starks pulled out of it it was about 10ft tall. I've got myself on a bit of a rant but I hate it when comics start so well and die through what seems like laziness, it seems to be a bit of a habit for Marvel lately.
