 I wasn't really paying attention to it until I watched the trailer and it does look quite pretty and action packed.

But as others have said it's one of those games i'll read a few reviews for before/if I purchase it.

 It looks like Jedi Academy with a better physics engine. The engine does look fantastic in the tech demo's but not in game, it's looks like a Storm Trooper bowling game with a back story.

Fail man, Name 2 Lucas Arts games that have sucked...

Force Commander being #1

Personally I feel they've steered too far away from the origional Dark Forces which was an excellent game. But i'm sure it will be a brilliant game no matter what they do, Force Push and Stormtroopers... What more ya' want?

ummm. i've been drinking and my memory is failing me but that'll do for now :p

Episode 1, I went through that game a few times. Actually quite enjoyed it. Wasn't the best but was good still.
Pod Racer was good fun man, Never tried the kiddy one though...
Dunno about Masters of the TK but remember something like Lightsabre Duals which was pretty naff.

My main point though is that this is a continuation from the Jedi Knight series, Not the next in the series but same sort of gameplay. Which they have rarely screwed up on. I'd just get it anyway, Gonna be a good laugh.

 Lets face it, they rarely make anything as good as Jedi Outcast or KOTOR. I just cant see Force Unleashed reaching those sort of levels.

The environment even opened up when you got to the main hangar.

I think I might be buying this after all.

Super Bombad Racing rocked the shit!




Nah, it was a pile of monkey bollocks.

Episode I Racer was great though- far from being shite.

As for the demo, it's great fun. Just what I expected. I defy you to bring an entire TIE Fighter onto some poor bastard's head and not crack a smile! I love the bit where you can bend pieces of metal to make passing TIE Fighters crash. Endless fun. Day of release purchase for me.

 Having played the demo, I can safely say this game rocks.  I love the level of detail in the levels, like picking up a hapless gonk droid and sending him through the window into outerspace and then have the blast doors come down.   There is definitely a nice sadistic sense of humour to this game, I hurled a lone stormtrooper at the AT ST to be rewarded by a cut scene which showed him bounce off the hull and land in a crumpled mess.  I nearly pissed myself laughing.     

Then there is making Stormtrooper chains...  I managed to make one with four of the poor blighters.  I'm sure that will make a nice little achievement to earn.

 I downloaded this, this morning but have only had time for a proper go tonight. Just as I was getting right into it, it ends. But what a great demo it is!

I liked picking up tie fighters and throwing them at the storm troopers. That was fun. And ****SPOILER?****
taking on the AT-ST was immense! Splitting it in half! WOW!

I thought the demo was pretty average. Controls seemed weird, and the game had an overall cheap arcadey feel.

Maybe something to pick up on the cheap, but not full price.

Also was it just me or did Vader's voice sound a bit off?

No, it was off to me as well - I think he has a really unique tone that's hard to replicate. Unless it is James Earl Jones and his voice has changed over time (I haven't viewed the credits but it didn't sound like him anyway)

It was a shame the voice acting didn't match up with the rest of the game, but it is a small niggle.

 Yeah, I noticed that about Vader's voice - I doubt it's James Earl Jones somehow.
Just checked IMDB.  Vader is voiced by...Matt Sloan.  Who only seems to do Star Wars voiceover work pretending to be Vader.
The demo was quite enjoyable but I worry that the combat might get a bit repetitive.  Saying that, that was never something that hampered Devil May Cry.
There were also times when I tried to throw objects around and they seemed to shoot off in random directions instead of where I was trying to aim - I put that mainly down to incompetence on the part of the player however.
Good, but I doubt I'd pay full whack for it though.

That demo had more of the original Star Wars feel in it than the entirety of the prequels did.  The opening cutscene wouldn't look too far out of place in Empire Strikes Back.

After all the hype it wasn't the Earth shattering experience that I was expecting, but it was still a whole lot of fun. They put light sabers in and that's usually enough for me.

 Wow that was a lot of fun. Just so many cool things you can do like slamming people into walls and lifting people so they are in front of a moving Tie-Fighter's path. Briliant. Almost definately going to get this.

Did anyone use their lightsaber except for blocking? I know he is strong with the force but he could be better with it like walk while blocking or reflect laser beams at the shooters.

Maybe after leveling up your able to do that. But the inability to move while blocking did make the fight against that AT-ST harder.

You can do that in the demo, you just have to block at the right time.

Why do people always credit God Of War with having the first button pressing sequences in it, and the game everyone steals them from? Shenmue came out six years before God Of War and that had them it, and Shenmue probably wasn't the first game to have them either.

With regards to the Demo, I was rather impressed with it, and am looking forward to its release.

It was ok, but I guess at full price it may be a bit of over to soon and not much reply value. Also the graphics are a bit poor. Not the level design but the cut scenes. The detail on the lead guy is wank, I've been playing as him in Soul Calibor 4 and he looks sweet. Also was the Lea I saw in a cut scene ? If it was she looks like a bloke and I just cant get over the shoddy cut scenes.
