I saw the final episode last night on BBC 2 and it was a good finish. I started watching most of season 1, then I missed seasons 2 and 3. Now I just caught the tail-end of the last season. I noticed that Jonathan Rhys Meyers (or Jonathan Michael Francis O'Keeffe - a bit of blarney!) suddenly developed a gruff Irish accent when he played the elder Henry, a bit distracting at times. From what I've seen, I think it's a good drama and whilst seeing the blouses of ladies come-orff (sic) can be titillating; I did think the sex scenes were overplayed a little. I managed to catch Sir Thomas More's execution scene on YouTube, quite a powerful scene and a great line he delivers: "the king's good servant, and God's first."
