The Game of Thrones theme tune performed by a cat. That is all.

Just realised I've got it set up on series link even though I've got the Blu Ray box set

I like how series like breaking bad and boardwalk empire are playing tag, so there's always awesome on telly...

If the next two seasons are even half as good as the third book, it'll be epic. ASOS is easily my favourite of the books so far.

Shouldn't that heart be on fire?

EDIT: And why's he fucking smiling?

Stannis is definitely my favourite - of the books and in the show. Dillane just gets that sulk perfectly.

Living in and working in Belfast I can now add Nikolaus Coster Waldau as my most high-profile GoT spot to date. I'd already glimpsed Paul Kaye and Noah Taylor this year, but got my first Lannister last week. I might even try and speak to the next one I see.

I've got the missus hooked on this now. Watched the whole first season and half of the second in the last week or so. It's only my second run through and having read all the books inbetween I've found it so much easier to understand and noticed things that passed me by the first time around. I'm getting so much more out of it on a repeat viewing! I can even explain things when the missus becomes confused

I wanted to post this but Woger got there before me...

There is ZERO Spoilers in that video. we get to see glimpses of new characters, it's exciting, and lovely and absolutely nothing whatsoever to spoil even blind new-comers.

Lovely.

That's either excellent that it starts on the 1st April, or shit that's its just an April Fool's joke, or worse still it started on the 4th January (Goddam Americans!) and I missed the first episode

So in an interview with Empire, James Purefoy said that he and Kevin McKidd have said they wouldn't show up in Game of Thrones because they feel Rome was cancelled to make way for it.

Awww.

Is that for real? That's ridiculous, I don't understand the logic behind that at all! I'll have to listen to the interview to get the context of this statement, I'm truly baffled. Ciarán Hinds didn't have a problem taking a role in GoT, grow up lads.

Speaking of Rome, that was another very ambitious show. Is there still a sense of sadness that you guys didn't get to take it further?

[Kevin] McKidd and I had lunch the other day, and I said to him, "Have you been asked to do Game Of Thrones?" And he said, "I'd never do it. Because they stole our fucking show." He worked out that if Rome had run for the entire seven seasons that it should have run, we would only have finished it last year. And he feels that HBO did Game of Thrones instead of us, so they stole our show. I kind of agree with him. I won't be doing Game Of Thrones, even if they ask me.

Hmmm I can appreciate the loyalty they're showing but it still seems slightly petulant. That said I've never seen Rome so I have no attachment to it myself. It is a pity because there are definitely characters I could see them playing.

Rome is freakin awesome and I wouldn't be shocked if there was something to this.

That said, Rome told a complete story in two seasons, so I am pretty cool with how it all went down.

Purefoy would have made a perfect Euron Greyjoy IMO
