Watched that this morning. She looks adorable, and seeing as Arya's one of my favourite characters in the books I'm quite happy with this casting.

Presumably around April/May on Sky Atlantic, a few weeks behind the US airing.

I've never read any of the books but since I have Sky Atlantic I shall definitely be watching, I love fantasy when it's done right and plus it's got Peter Dinkledge in the cast, I'm there!

I've started the books (about 1/3 of the way through) on the strength of the trailers and I'm loving it. Unfortunately I don't have Sky so will have to wait for the DVD or iTunes but really excited about this.

I finished the first book last week and really enjoyed it. The book is very graphic in both violence and its sex scenes. Will this be a post watershed show or will the sex and violence be toned down?

Nope.
HBO have the sense to know if they do that, then they lose their primary audience.
Deadwood, Sopranos, The Wire, Oz etc. have shocking levels of violence/nudity/swearing etc.

Also didn't stop HBO from making Rome which was pretty graphic on the violence and nudity fronts too.

Funnily enough I had to go and see someone at work last week to deal with an IT problem and she just happened to have a Sean Bean poster by her desk so of course I had to comment

We then got talking about his various roles and onto Game of Thrones where she happened to just drop that she knew someone who was working on the production

Oh and she was raving about the books so that kind of made my mind up about reading them before watching it.

I'm planning on getting the first book too. This is going to be THE show of the year... though I'd also recommend Camelot after seeing the pilot.

Love the poster and April can't come quick enough for this.

I strongly suspect that it will all boil down to ratings etc but is there any word on plans for adapting Clash Of Kings?
