I don't think he has been voted off. I can't find any news about it on the web. Where did you hear that from, Mozza?

Welcome Holty and johncena!

I've got a massive shark on the way from america... it looks like this!

It's 33" long. Wow! It's so realistic. I shall call him Lex the Meg. I'll let you know when he gets here, and I'll see if I can shoot some video stock footage.

A bit more of a serious film, has anyone seen Blue Water, White Death? its a documnetary made a couple years before jaws, apparently the same crowd done the real shark footage on Jaws also. I remember reading a review on Aint it Cool which made it out to be amazing.

I've heard plenty about it Woger, but never seen it. It's supposed to be great.
Emailed Sharkboy not so long back to see if he had a copy, but to no avail.
It's not actually (as far as I know) avaiable on DVD format.
I think you just have to get lucky on the National Geographic.

Yes!  Several years ago on one of the cable channels (might have been Discovery, might have been National Geographic).

It's good, but it really isn't that different from any other documentary about Great Whites.  I think it was highly regarded and VERY forward thinking at the time (and rightly so I guess - it must've been one of the very first docs to look at Great Whites), but since then of course, cameras have got better, more is known about them and there's less rhetoric surrounding them (I seem to remember a lot of dramatic licence, similar to Michael Capuzzo's otherwise excellent book Close To Shore, but I may be getting confused with another doc).

I wouldn't say it was worth paying too much money for.

Coming back to this thread after so long somehow feels like coming home!

Now, to share the love...

Question:  What could be better than a movie about sharks?  A movie about Raging Sharks!

Not only do we have lots of sharks, we've got Stargate/Baywatch babe Vanessa Angel, we've got Corbin Bernsen and we've got alien goo. How fuckin' cool is that?   A joint production between the USA and Bulgaria (!!), it also features such B-movie stalwarts as "Diver Don".  Just read the review on IMDB to fill your soul with hope...

And some good news for all you downloaders out there - although not yet officially out on DVD, the movie has been posted to the newsgroups and is currently working its way onto my HDD - a full review shall be forthcoming, but from the description alone, SA3 could have some serious competition!

Talking of snakes, thanks to Empire's recommendation, I've just purchased this T-shirt from www.damnation-inc.com for the bargain price, delivered, of $23.
It's going to be the biggest film of the year!!

That's a dandy, but I prefer the one I ordered to be honest.

Check this out

http://84.16.234.211/download/vfxreel.html

This might (or might not) be test footage of the fully CGI rendered Megalodon shark from Jan De Bont's upcoming film "Meg".
