I feel a little as though I'm talking to myself here....

Does anyone think Murray will actually beat Nadal today? The BBC website reckons Nadal is the 'marginal favourite' going in.... much as I would like that to be true, I'm inclined to believe that 'totally overwhelming favourite' would be more accurate!

Nadal will win, I think the occasion will get to Murray.

Anyone watching the match? Murray's doing well. We're into a tie break for the first set.

He's serving for the 1st set in the tie-break at 6-3...

You beat me to it!

Its weird, if this was Henman or Rudeski i'd be really excited about this match, and happy that they'd won the first set. The most I can generate for Murray is a mild 'yay'.

I like Nadal's shorts. That woman in the crowd who keeps screaming "go Andy, go!" needs a slap.

I'm having to watch it on mute 'cos I'm at work, which takes away a little of the atmosphere. Have to say I'm impressed he's got a set off Nadal - for the first few games I felt like he was hanging on by the skin of his teeth & as soon as nadal made a breakthrough he would run away with the match.  The whole thing's a pretty tense affair!

So you can get it up for a Canadian, but not a Scot?

I'm not quite as ecstatic as I should be either, but I think that's down to the fact that I'm a big Nadal fan and so I don't really want him to lose. Turns out my desire for Murray to win is stronger though, and I'm not quite the 'unpatriotic hussy' that my sister accused me of being!!!

He's doing his best to balls up the second set! Gone from being 4-1 to 4-3, so its back to going with serve.

If you'd pay attention, i said nationality has nothing to do with it.

i never let myself get excited during a match because it can so easily tip in the other direction. I dont think Murray will win but i think hes done very well to take the first set.

All the fuss the Scots make about him not being British is slightly annoying. Henman was never English, Christie was British, Khan is British but as soon as the Murray did well. He isn't British he's Scottish, really oh right.

It's because he's a very bad sport and always pretends to be injured when he loses a few points.  Either that or you carry a curse to which stroppy, arrogant, mumbling Scotsmen fall prey.

To be fair he does suffer badly from growing pains... much like Gerrard used to.
I've seen him complain about thwm when he's been winning too.

I wouldn't say that just yet, but unless Murray pulls this set back then I don't reckon the fight will go on much longer.

He seems to be over that pain in his right side now. Maybe it was just cramp?
