Fantastic stuff, the first ep was a bit of a slow burner, but ep 2 was back on form, especialy the bit when Jack kicked that guy out of the train that was too cool, also love the fact that Wayne Palmer is now presidant, can't wait for next week!

I thought they were great. Got off to a cracking start - getting the Jack sacrifice out of the way early.

Jack vs. CTU - love it.

Chloe's husband Morris is looking very shifty - which probably guarantees he's a Good Guy

So many familiar faces from TV Land - I spotted actors from Buffy, Will & Grace, Ally McBeal, Star Trek DSN, Star Trek Voyager and Six Feet Under in the first ten minutes!

And does anyone else think there was a little nod to The Lost Boys when Jack escaped from the chair?

Thought it was excellent. Anybody else see the cameo from Steven Merchent giving a folder to somebody (or somebody giving a folder to him, can' remember)? Loving the return of Milo, he's so cool!

I know this is a lengthy request, but can anyone give me a brief synopsis of what happened in days 2, 3, 4 and 5? I stopped watching the show halfway through series 2 and thought i'd give 6 a go as the trailers looked really good. What are the important things to know?

I am getting bored with this whole Muslim thing, this is on the the basis that they have gone down this road in Seasons 2 & 4.

It is important to highlight issues in curren tworld events but I think this bombing storyline shows a lack of imagination.

I know the story will expand & develop and Graham and his blue tooth gang will be involved some how, but the makers are too obsessed with this Muslim thing.

I did not like the fact that the redneck who beat up the Asian kid in the house because of his prejudice and paranoia, turned out to be right in his view, but for the wrong reasons.

Jack killed & tortured a load of terrorist types, bombs were stopped & friends lost.
Oh and season 5 saw the debut of the Jack Sack.

I can't believe my bad luck, I've just finished writing a script for uni where the protagonist is being tortured and kills his torturer by biting his neck and ripping away a good part of his throat and now I've just seen that exact seen happen on 24!
Worst still, everyone in my uni watches 24 so they're gonna think I copied it!
Argh! Oh well, if I'm going to lose a great idea like that it might as well be to the greatness that is 24.
Great start to the new season, looking forward to more, just stop stealing my ideas!

I agree with one of the other posts that episode one was a bit of a slow burner, but it did deal well with all its new characters.

However, episode 2 was a complete barnstormer!!! A true Bauer-Power-Hour - great set-piece after great set-piece, with even a little character study of Jack's indecisiveness. I loved the interrogation scene, but quite frankly the train scene was amazing stuff! Can't wait for next week.

Agreed! Great start to day 6, was a little upset to see Jack in such a state to start with but thats to be expected. Hopefully Jack will find his interrogation powers again soon as a didnt like to see him step away and back off. Looks promising to deliver yet another fantastic series, brilliant!!

Yeah right, their too obsessed with this Muslim thing considering that we have also had Serbian warlords (Day 1), South American Drug Lords and a Rogue British Agent (Day 3) and Chechen/Russian rebels (Day 5).

I think 24 is just reflecting real life and the fact is Islamic fundamentalism is the greatest threat that is facing the western world at the moment (well, that and George W Bush).

But you can bet your life that there will be far more to this latest Season of 24 than just Islamic terrorists attacking the US, Graham and his blue tooth mob are definitely involved somehow in all of this and there's not doubt there will be quite a few twists along the way.

Interestingly it has already come under attack from Muslim groups who state that this is stirring up tensions, but strangely I have never seen any similar complaints from those who were depicted as the bad guys in Days 1, 3 and 5.

Because there isn't the same villification of the other groups that there is of Muslims. There is an acknowledgement but not an outright witch-hunt as the rightwing have initiated for Muslims. And, also, how many rogue British agents do you know of that would complain of their portrayal in Day 3.

Furthermore, 24 is not intended to be reality. It is a heightened parallel reality. As evidenced by the USA electing not one, but two black Presidents. Let alone the second happening to be the brother of an ex-President. With a goatee. And a shaved head.

What impressed me was how smart Jack looked after his shave and haircut...
I wish my local barber could pull off that kinda transformation in SIX MINUTES!!
Other than that, glad to see Curtis back in action, after he disappeared half way thru Season 5...!
And whats with Nadia being able to speak Arabic?
Hmmmm.....

roll on next week

Does anyone else think Nadia Yassir (the dark haired woman in ctu) is an undercover terrorist. I have two reasons why I think she is, a) She managed to bring the firewall down which Chloe noticed and blackmailed her with and b) she is middle eastern or can speak the language anyway. These two things highlight that she could be a terrorist. Either that or a huge red herring.

Yeah, Milo was in a few episodes of season 1 and then just disappeared. This is the first time he has been back since then.

Missed out on spotting the Steven Merchent cameo

...Wasn't Milo in season 5?

Anyway, just a warning guys - be careful if you watch 'The Soup' on E!, girlfriend had on yesterday and they gave a massive spoiler away from episode 5.... seems they will do the same every week..... Damn these British channels airing shows so quickly after US broadcast!

I did think that to be honest but i'm not sure if they will go with more moles, or at least i hope they bloody don't.
